Nesting at Sunset ~ CMCC56 & CCMC339

Hello Stampers!!! It's time for the newest Colour Me Challenge!  This week we've got playful colors...Island Indigo, Rich Razzleberry, Tangelo Twist, and Daffodil Delight.  I must confess that I had a bit of a challenge figuring out how to best use these colors.  In the end I decided to turn them into a sunset sky.
I also used the sketch from Create with Connie and Mary this week.

CCMC339

Wonderful Journey Feathers ~ CMCC55

Good morning stampers!  I'm sharing my card for Colour Me...!
Challenge #55 is a subtle combination of  Hello Honey, Cajun Craze, and Mossy Meadow, as well as any neutral of your choosing.  I chose gold to go along with my colors.  I started out by embossing the Mossy Meadow feather with gold EP and it all escalated from there!

The feather cluster is the star of the show here, showcasing all the colors. I added a little leaf from Autumn Wooden Accents into the cluster also.  I thought it resembled the feathers.  I tapped it on my Cajun Craze ink pad to color it.  Some gold sequin trim, Linen thread and a gold star top everything off. There is quite a combination of stamps used on this card also, starting with {Four Feathers}, of course, {Dotty Angles}, {World of Dreams}, and {Petal Parade} (from last years Sale-a-bration).

I thought the sentiment from {World of Dreams} was a perfect match for this card.....the feathers and the circle of thread and sequin trim sort of remind me of a dream catcher.  I don't know...they just seemed to sorta go together!

Make sure you stop by the other Colour Me girls' blogs and leave them some adoring comments!  They've all outdone themselves this week, as usual!

Here's a list of my supplies.....
Stamps: Four Feathers, Dotty Angles, World of Dreams, Petal Parade
Paper: Cajun Craze, White, Mossy Meadow, Fancy Foil Gold Vellum, Brushed Gold
Ink: Metallic gold, Cajun Craze, Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow
Accessories: Itty Bitty Punch Pack, Autumn Wooden Accents, Linen Thread, Gold Sequin trim, Feathers die

Warm Heart ~ CMCC54

Hey fellow stampers!  It's time for another Colour Me Card Challenge.....#54.  This week we have the striking duo of Pacific Point and Real Red.  Neutrals are also welcome.  I added in a little black with my duo.

All the papers I used (with the exception of the Pacific Point gingham pattern) are from the {Stacked With Love} DSP pack.  I created the gingham by using the retired {Gingham Wheel}.  I colored the
The Perfect Blend cup
with my blender pen and Pacific Point pad and then pieced the small heart pattern over the top.  The perfect sentiment comes from the new set {Sheltering Tree}.
As usual, please hop over to my fellow designers blogs and leave them some love on their creations!

Jenny Engelke (that's me)

Ralph's 60th ~ STB Party!

My favorite Uncle Ralph turns 60 years old today and he's always been a jokester so I thought he'd enjoy this fun little card!  I just love this cute group of farm animals called {From The Herd}.
I'm playing along with Sieze the Birthday with the toppings option of "Party".  I think these guys look like they're ready to party, right?  LOL!

I colored these guys with my blendabilites.  I used the new Pink Pirouette set to color the pig and a few noses of the other animals.  I'm so glad SU came out with the softer pink colors.  What a nice addition to an already great set of markers.
I added in some Gumball Green "grass" and some bakers twine to match the basecard.  The sentiment is from {Just Sayin'} and cut out with the coordinating Word Bubble die.

I'm gonna let you in on a little secret....I actually colored these guys twice.  The first time I colored the llama in brown tones.  Once I had finished the card, I set it up to admire it from afar (as I'm sure most of you do, LOL) and I noticed that he blended into the buffalo too much.  So, I restamped the image onto a scrap, colored it and fussy cut it out to layer it over the top of the original image.  This time I outlined the llama in gray and I liked him much better this way.  Now he stands out as an individual!  Haha!  Anyhoo, if you look closely you can see where it's layer on.  It was a little more work, but I'm much happier with the result!
Here's a list of my supplies.....
Stamps: From the Herd, Just Sayin"
Ink: Memento Black, Soft Sky, assorted Blendabilites
Paper: Baked Brown Sugar, White, Gumball Green DSP
Accessories: Word Bubble die, fringe scissors, Baked Brown Sugar bakers twine

Enjoy The Fuss ~ FMS168

Brrrr!  It's freeeeezing up here in NE Montana!  We had -25 to -30 degree windchills today.  Boy, can the wind really blow here!  What's the best thing to do on a cold day, you ask?  Why spend the day stamping of course!!!
I came up with this one for Freshly Made Sketches 168

I originally made this card.....
but once I was done with it, I hated it.  So back to the drawing board.
I kept the same color scheme and was much happier with the outcome the second time around.

It showcases a couple more products from the Occasions Catalog.  The diecuts are from {The Treat Bag Thinlits Dies} and the button is from {Sweet Dreams designer buttons}.
For the stars, I cut twice....once on the designer paper and another on Hello Honey.  I popped the Hello Honey stars up over the DSP.

Here's a list of my supplies...
Stamps: Big News, Good Greetings
Ink: Lost Lagoon
Paper: Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey, White, Moonlight DSP
Accessories: Treat Bag Thinlits die, Sweet Dreams designer button, dimensionals

CTD 324 ~ Guest Stamper!

Good Morning stampers!  More exciting news for me....I'm a guest stamper at Color Throwdown this week!  WhooHoo!!!
The color combo for the week is red, black and white.

I used this guy from the new Occasions Catalog set {Wood You Be Mine}....he has captured my heart!  As soon as I laid eyes on this set I knew he would be mine!  LOL!
I drew a little inspiration from the snowy scene picture and made a snowy treeline as one of the panels on my card.  The DSP is from the new paper stack {Stacked With Love}.  It's packed with lots and lots of cool paper for Valentine's cards...or whatever else tickles your fancy.

I colored my lumberjack with blendability markers, fussy cut him out and perched him on top of the cute log.
This was such a fun card to put together and I can't wait to create with this guy a little more!

Here's a list of my supplies....
Stamps: Wood You Be Mine
Ink: Memento Black; Cherry Cobbler, Smokey Slate & Flesh Tones Blendabilites markers; Stazon White
Paper: Stacked With Love DSP, Black, White, Real Red
Accessories: Three Heart punch, Sweet Dreams designer buttons, Linen Thread, dimesionals

EXCITING NEWS! CMCC#53

I would like to announce that I am officially part of the Colour Me design team!  I am super excited to be part of this wonderful group and to gain much inspiration from my fellow designers!
We're kicking the year off with the monochromatic color scheme of Perfect Plum.

I chose to go with a baby theme and add black in as my neutral.
This card also highlights a few new products from the new Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration.
The heart border and bow on the giraffe's neck are from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits die set. This die set has lots and lots of cute extras to go along with the treat bag itself.  The Stacked With Love designer washi tape is so cute and comes in these two patterns plus one more with gold hearts....very versatile! The other new item from the Occasions Catalog is the little heart button.  It's part of the Sweet Dreams Designer Buttons.
The polka dot paper is from the Sale-a-bration catalog and it's called Irresistibly Yours.  It comes plain white with a resist pattern and you add the color with a sponge, mister or brayer.  I brayered on the the ink for this card.  It comes in several different patterns and will be super fun to work with!  I know this will be a popular product!

I used my blender pen and Perfect Plum ink pad to create the variegated color in the "Big News" lettering on the main panel of my card.  I like the way it turned out.  It gives it just a little bit more interest.

Here's a list of my supplies.....
Stamps: Big News, Zoo Babies
Ink: Perfect Plum, Versamark
Paper: Black, White, Irresistibly Yours DSP
Accessories: Mini treat bag thinlits, Dotted Scallop Ribbon boarder punch, Sweet Dream designer button, brayer, black EP, pearl, Stacked With Love washi

Make sure you check out my fellow designers blogs and leave them some love!
