Tropical Froggy ~ CCMC546, TGIFC196

Hello there stampers! Today's card is for Create with Connie and Mary's new sketch challenge #546.  I chose to flip the sketch on the side and use it that way.  I'm also participating in TGIF Challenges #196: Pick a Pattern.  I used Tropical Escape DSP for my patterned paper.
I thought this DSP went nicely with the fun new stamp set from Sale-a-bration called So Hoppy Together.  These cute frogs are sure fun to color with blends markers.  I used Granny Apple Green, Light Smokey Slate, and Light Flirty Flamingo.
I also incorporated some green organdy ribbon from the Sale-a-bration pack.

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Happy birthday Roses ~ HSS307, CTC213, SSC197

Hello Stampers!  Today's card is for Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge #307.  It's a Valentines inspiration!  I decided to forgo the Valentine's theme, because I don't send many Valentine's, but I did happen to notice I was getting short on Birthday cards, so I made mine into birthday.  I was inspired by the pink flowers in the middle/right photo.  I'm also playing along with CASEing the Catty #213 (I cased the lower right Petal Pink card in the photo), and Sunday Stamps Challenge #197 pinks.  My pinks are Flirty Flamingo and Lovely Lipstick with a little bit of Poppy Parade and Pink Pirouette mixed in there.

No photo description available.

First I stamped the rose image from Petal Palette twice on white cardstock.  I colored the roses with light and dard Flirty Flamingo blends and light Poppy Parade.  I colored the leaves with light and dark Pink Pirouette blends.  I cut everything out by hand, removing the roses from the leaves, so I could glue them on where I pleased.  Next I cut a Stitched circle and stamped Happy Birthday too you in Flirty Flamingo and Lovely Lipstick.  I popped the circle up on dimensionals on a panel of Flirty Flamingo that I embossed with the Tin Tile TIEF and then tucked the roses, leaves and flowers where I wanted them to be before gluing them down.  I also cut the leaf branches from Petals and More thinlits in Vellum cardstock.
I added a bit of silver thread to mimic the wax seal element in my cased card.  I also added a few rhinestones just because I wanted a bit more sparkle.

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Hello there stampers!  My card today is for Create with Connie and Mary's Sketch Challenge #544.  I also used the color combo from CAS Colours and Sketches #304.  I'm entering into Addicted to Stamps and More Clean and Simple challenge too!
I couldn't resist pairing the Balmy Blue gingham DSP with the Daisy punch....it's like a match made in heaven!  I thing the pop of red gives the card a little more punch and the Crumb Cake adds a country feel.

Piece of Wedding Cake ~ HSS306, TGIFC194

Hello Stampers!  Today's card is for Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge #306.  I've also used the sketch from TGIF Challenges #194.
These colors seemed kinda wedding-ish to me so I used one of the cakes from the new set Piece of Cake.  I stamped it in black and colored it with my blender pen and ink from the lid of my pads.
It really is a "piece of cake" to use this set with the cake builder punch!
At first I left the white panel blank but I felt it looked too plain, so I added some punched Itty Bitty Punch flowers with gold pearl centers.  I think they compliment the gold accents on the card.

I hope you'll be able to play along with our challenge at HSS.  It goes for two weeks!
Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Calypso Bluebird ~ CCMC543, AYSI191, PP423

Hi stampers!  Today's card is for Create with Connie and Mary's newest color challenge using Calypso Coral, Call Me Clover, and Night of Navy.  I also used the sketch from As You See It 191 and decided I'd participate in the Critters Theme Challenge from the Paper Players 423.  I think my little bird qualifies as a critter.
I used Petal Palette for this card, coloring with my Blends markers.

At first I wasn't too sure about my first card (I thought it might be too busy), so I made second card using the colors and the sketch again from AYSI. I used my Tropical Chic set for this one.  I liked the way this one turned out, but when comparing them side by side, I ended up liking the Petal Palette one just a little bit better, so I made that my main entry.  I wanted to make sure and share the second card too though!

I hope you'll be able to participate in the CCMC with us!
Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Stumped Fox ~ CCMC542, SSC195

Hello stampers!  Today's card is for Create with Connie and Mary's newest sketch challenge #542.  I've also used the color palette from Sunday Stamps Challenge 195, although I think my colors are a tad bit brighter.
The rust and peach colors reminded me of a fox, so that's the direction I headed in.
I started by stamping the fox body in Mango Melody ink and added in the eyes, nose and legs in Cajun Craze.  I punched out the body, as well as the tail, face and ears in white.  I punched another white tail accessory piece and added it under the chin.  Next, I stamped the stump with Early Espresso in on Gray Granite cardstock and fussy cut it out.  I layered the whole thing on a Balmy Blue stitched shape oval.  For the background panels, I stamped the Tree Rings background stamp in Early Espresso on Gray Granite CS again and the Buffalo Check background stamp with Balmy Blue on Balmy Blue.  I ran three strands of the braided linen twine for the center vertical element of the sketch and added a little strip of Cajun Craze to the left side of it.  Everything was mounted on a white card base.

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Special Sparkling Snowflake ~ HSS305, IB52

Hello stampers and Happy New Year!  I hope you entered 2019 happy, healthy, and safe!
Today's card is for Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge #305.  It's our January sketch.  Along with our sketch, I used the photo from Inspired By #52 Let It Snow.
With Christmas being over I turned to more of a wintery forest type feel.  I stamped the branch from Peaceful Noel around a Crumb Cake stiched shape circle with Gray Granite ink.  I also stamped the cluster of snowflakes from Snow is Glistening around the circle and embossed them with white EP.  I cut out a white snowflake from the Snowfall Thinlits dies and added it to the center of the circle, embellishing it with a clear faceted gem.  For the white panel, I stamped the tree image from Snow is glistening all over, making it look like the panel was stamped with a background stamp.  I added a sentiment from Snow is Glistening that I thought could be a birthday greeting.  I ran the whole white panel through the big shot with my Subtle TIEF.  I embossed the Gray Granite background piece with my Woodland EF and sponged it with Gray Granite ink.  I also sponged the Crumb Cake card base, the white snowflake panel and the Crumb Cake circle.  I added a bit of Silver Thread to the back of the Crumb Cake circle as well.  After adhering the whole thing together, I spritzed it with Champagne Shimmer mist spray. I painted on extra sparkle to the main snowflake with my Wink Of Stella pen.  The shimmer of it all is amazing in real life!

I stamped the inside with a partial sentiment from Snow is Glistening and then added a Happy Birthday from Beautiful Bouquet.

I hope you'll be able to join us for the January sketch challenge at HSS!
Thanks for taking peek!
