Holly and Joy ~ CCMC640, GDP2688

Hello stampers!  Isn't it the most wonderful time of the year???!!!  I just adore Christmas card making season!
Today's card is for Create with Connie and Mary's new color challenge staring Poppy Parade, Misty Moonlight, and Old Olive.
I also used the case the designer challenge over at Global Design Project.  I pretty much cased the layout of Charlet's card and I absolutely love the results!

I used Shimmer White CS for my holly leaves and berries.  I just have to say how smooth it was to color on with the blends markers.  This is a big old game changer for me!  I have about three packs of Shimmer White I've apparently be hording and I didn't realize it!  I'm gonna start using it up!  I already knew that it was awesome with blender pens and ink, but wow, it was sooooo smoooooth coloring with those blends!

Here's a list of my supplies....
Stamps: Christmas Gleaming, Peace and Joy
Ink: Memento Black, Old Olive & Poppy Parade Blends markers, Misty Moonlight
Paper: Misty Moonlight, Poppy Parade, Soft Suede, Shimmer White, Brightly Gleaming DSP, In Good Taste DSP, Gold Foil
Accessories: Scripty EF, Joy Dies, Circle Dies, Forever Greenery gold cord

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Gorgeous Grape Merry & Bright ~ HSS353, AYSI239, TSOT484

Hello stampers!  Today's card is for Hand Stampded Sentimeiments November Sketch Challenge designed my ME!  I hope you'll be able to join us and use this fun sketch!
I love to mix challenges for extra inspiration, so I'm also playing along with As You See It #239.  The challenge here is to use a color that you avoid.  That color for me is any form of purple.  I usually cringe when purple is in the inpiration for any challenge, but then I must confess, that I usually end up liking my creations in the end.  That's what happened with this one.  I like the way this turned out!  I always think, "well, that wasn't so bad!".
Anyway, I watercolored Gorgeous Grape and Flirty Flamingo on a Stitched Nested Label cut out with watercolor paper.  I added salt to the wet paper, dried it, and scraped the salt off after it was dried.  The salt absorbs the ink and leaves a "starburst" sort of pattern.  I also flicked water onto the panel and mopped it up with a dry paper towel.  After that I splattered Wink of Stella onto the label.  Finally, I stamped and embossed the stars on there and spritzed the whole thing with glimmer spritz.  It's very sparkly in real life!
I also used the inspiration from Try Stampin On Tuesday...use the word MERRY.

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

'Tis The Season Cup of Cheer ~ CCMC639, PP517

Hello stampers!  Today's card is for Create with Connie and Mary's new sketch challenge.  I also used The Paper Players hooray for the holidays challenge to help me with my CCMC design team card.  I took all my inspiration from the holiday picture including colors and theme.  I used a new favorite stamp set of mine....Press On.  I just love all the images in this set and I think it makes for some fun Christmas themed cards.

Richness of Autumn Sympathy ~ CCMC638

Hello stampers!  Today's card is for Create with Connie and Mary's Thursday color challenge using Bumblebee, Rich Razzleberry, and Terracotta tile.  As I'm typing out my post and the colors I'm realizing I used Blackberry Bliss instead of Rich Razzleberry!  Do you ever do that?  Have one color in mind and completely use a different one?  Thank goodness they are fairly close and the flowers I stamped on the In Good Taste woodgrain paper looks more like Rich Razzleberry anyway!
Anyhoooo, Unfortunately I needed a sympathy card for this week so that's where I went with these colors.  I think they make a nice fall feel and add a richness to the theme of the card.

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Hello stampers!  Today's card is for Create with Connie and Mary's sketch challenge.  I enjoyed putting this simple card together using the colors from Global Design Project.  I chose to add Melon Mambo to the duo of Coastal Cabana and Smokey Slate.
