Spring Chicken Diagonal Fun Fold ~ CCMC661

Hello stampers!  Today's card is for the new sketch at Create with Connie and Mary.
I used a diagonal opening fun fold to create my card, mimicking the sketch.
The corn cobs and stalk, as well as the wooden sign, had been laying on my desk for a while....cast offs from a different card.  I knew I wanted to use them at some point in time.  I had the idea for the chicken wire to be the diagonal stripe and the cornstalk to be the focal center.  I just love those little corn cobs...they are the cutest!  The white chicken was an easy add with just a little bit of ink on the comb and beak.

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Nothing's Better Than Birthday Cocktails ~ CCMC660, TMS602

Hello there stampers!  Todays card is for Create with Connie and Mary's newest color challenge.  I also used Tuesday Morning Sketches to help me design my team card for this challenge.
I really, really like these colors together and they make for a nice looking cool cocktail!
The images are from the Nothing's Better Than set and the DSP is a sneak peek of the fun paper available only to hostesses.  It's called Pattern Party.  My card also features the Stitched with Whimsy die.

I also made another card using the Nothing's Better Than set featuring the coffee, this time.  I cased a card by Kitchen Table Stamper, who cased it from Stampin' Up!

Round of Applause Grad ~ HSS362

Hello there stampers!  Today's card is for Hand Stamped Sentiments new sketch challenge for April.  I actually love the simplicity of this sketch and will use it time and time again!
It's that time of year when I need many, many graduation cards, so I'm getting a start on those.  I purchased this set (Round of Applause) specifically for the graduation sentiments in it, as well as the graduation cap.
The pictures don't really show the colors well, but the cap is black, the leaf circle is the new In Color called Evening Evergreen, and the sentiment in the center is embossed in gold.  The lighter green background paper is also a new In Color called Soft Succulent.  I dry embossed it with the Painted Texture EF.  The card base is Just Jade.  I like the way all these greens coordinate with each other!

Goodbye Waterfront ~ CCMC659, GDP287, CTC313

Hey there stampers!  Today's card is for Create with Connie and Mary's fabulous new sketch challenge.  The possibilities are endless with this one!
My creativity was sparked by the Global Design Project's by the sea theme and the stamp set I chose fit in nicely to Casing the Catty's retiring set challenge.  I loved Waterfront since it first came out and am super sad to see it go.
Even though I live in land locked Montana, I've always had a love for the beach and beach scenes.  It just looks so relaxing!

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Oval Baby Bunny ~ HSS361, GDP286

Hey there stampers!  Today's card is for Hand Stamped Sentiments photo inspiration challenge.  I was inspired by the bunny and I needed a baby girl card, so that's the direction I went!  I also used the sketch from Global Design Project to get me going in the direction of my layout.

Spring Flower Jar ~ CCMC657

Hello there stampers!  Today's card is for Create with Connie and Mary's first sketch challenge for April...April 1st!  I started off by using the color combo from Global Design Project which was So Saffron, Seaside Spray, and Sahara Sand.  I picked the tulip bouquet because I thought the tulips would be pretty colored in yellow.  I quickly realized I needed to add another color in there for my boquet, so I incorporated some Blushing Bride.  The leaves are subtly colored with Soft Seafoam as well.  So, I guess the color combo was more of just a jumping off point for me.  I'm very pleased with the results though!  I also like the square background DSP from Ornate Garden.
The sentiment comes from the retiring set Round Of Applause.  I loved the fonts in this set and I'm sad to see it retire.  I know it probably wasn't too popular, but I bought it because it had a nice graduation sentiment in it.

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!
