Free Bird Pattern Party CCMC675, AYSI255

Good morning stampers!  Today's card is for Create with Connie and Mary's last Case challenge for July.  Next month we'll continue with our regular color and sketch challenges.
I also used the colors from As You See It Challenge.  The colors are Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Garden Green, and Calypso Coral.
I used my Free as a Bird set and used water color to incorporate all the colors.  I love the pop of the birds on the branch against the all black and white background.
The Black and White DSP comes from the Pattern Party DSP stack.

The sentiment is from the new set Words of Cheer, which is actually a Christamas set.  The whole sentiment says "happy wishes to you and yours".  I just cut off the "and yours" part and it feels like a birthday sentiment to me!

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Words of Cheer Sneak Peek ~ CCMC674, GDP301

Hello stampers!  Today's card is for our last CASE the Catalog for Create with Connie and Mary.  I took the triple panel background element, the vellum layer, and the sentiment with trim around the edges.
I also used the colors from Global Design Project #301.  I've really been on a blue and pink kick lately and I was immediately drawn to these colors!
I used a new set from the Holiday Mini catalog to make my card this week.  The set is called Words of Cheer and it has a coordinating die set called Christmas Cheer.
For my triple background panel, I sponged white ink over one of the Adorning Designs masks onto the three color piece.

I colored the Christmas floral bouquet with my light and dark Polished Pink, light Bermuda Bay, dark Pool Party, and light and dark Night of Navy blends.
I added Opal Rounds to the center of the flowers.

I hope you enjoyed this and thanks for taking a peek!

Penguin Place New! ~ CCMC673, FF0088

Hello stampers!  Isn't this penguin sooooo cute??!!! He's part of the new Penguin Place Bundle in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  The DSP is called Penguin Playmate and you can get that free in the new Sale-A-Bration catalog.  That's right.....there's a new Sale-A-Bration catalog to go with the Holiday Mini!!! I think that was a smart move on Stampin' Up's part this year!  Who doesn't like free stuff????
Anyway, my love for Penguins had me putting this bundle right at the top of my wish list when I got the first peek at the holiday catalog.  I especially love that it not only has Christmas greetings, but friendship, birthday, and love sentiments too!  It's gonna be versatile.  The penguin image has a coordinating punch, which is so nice!
So, I had to use this set to make my Create with Connie and Mary design team card this week.  We are on the third week of casing the new catalog for July.
I also used the Friendship Day inspiration from Festive Friday.  The three elements I used were friendship sentiment, heart, and pink....plus I could add in glitter because I added in some ice glitter for the snow.

Here's a list of my supplies....
Stamps: Penguin Place
Ink: Misty Moonlight, Polished Pink, Bumble Bee, Soft Seafoam
Paper: Penguin Playmates DSP, Polished Pink, White
Accessories: Layering Circles die, Ice Glitter (retired), Polka dot Tulle Ribbon

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Mountains & Tree For Us ~ HSS368

Hello stampers!  Today's card is for Hand Stamped Sentiments July sketch challenge.  I chose to go with a mountain scene.  I'm a northern plains girl and I love the flatland of eastern Montana.  We've had the opportunity to visit the many different mountain regions of Montana this summer with one more trip planned in a couple of weeks.  I've enjoyed seeing these sights with my husband and family and wanted to commemorate our summer travels by giving my husband a card.
I've seen this set used in pinks and blues and I love that look, so that's where I started.  I figured the trees in Mountain Air set would be the perfect fit for the "bar" element on the sketch.
The sentiment is from a long retired set called Good Greetings and I also used some retired DSP called Paper Blooms.

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Christmas in July ~ CCMC671

Hello stampers!  Today is July 1st....JULY FIRST!!!!! Can you believe it already?  It's crazy how fast the weeks fly by.  Anyway, July is always CASE the new catalog month at Create with Connie and Mary.  This week we are casing the pansy sack on page 28.  I liked the layout of it so that's the direction I went in.  I also like Christmas in July, so I chose to use Poinsettia Petals stamp set and Poinsettia dies.  I also used Simply Elegant DSP, Pearlescent specialty paper, and gold foil.

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!
