Happy Merry Merlot Christmas ~ HSS378, GDP320

Hello stampers!  Today's card is for Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge for the next two weeks.  These colors just scream Christmas, right?  I love the deep, richness of the combo.  I chose to go with the set Words of Cheer and colored the poinsettia and foliage image with a blender pen and my ink pads.  I stamped the image on shimmery white because I find it takes the ink a little better when coloring with blender pens than just regular white. Regular white can tend to "pill" up if you move the ink around too much.
I also gained inspiration from Global Design Project case the designer challenge.  This particular challenge is becoming a big favorite of mine!  I pretty much cased her layout.

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Razzleberry Leaves ~ CCMC692

Today's card is for Create with Connie and Mary and the new color challenge for the week.
I had really good intentions and ideas for this card and they just didn't translate.  Usually if I make a card I don't really like I can let it sit overnight and most times when I see it with fresh eyes it doesn't seem so bad.  Well, it didn't work for me like that this time.  I look at this card and see all the things I would change about it.  I wish I had had time to re-do it, but with it being Thanksgiving week, I just didn't have time.  I would totally change a bunch of things around.  Maybe I'll revisit it at another time.
For now, you win some, you lose some!

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Blushing Snowflakes ~ CCMC691

Hello stampers!  Today's card is for Create with Connie and Mary's newest sketch challenge.
I had made this panel of embossed snowflakes made and laying on my desk for quite some time just waiting for the right project.  Well, today was that day!!!
I inked the snowflake mask up with some Blushing Bride ink and when I spread the embossing paste around it grabbed the color and voila, Blushing Bride embossed snowflakes!  It was a fun process to watch happen!
I tried pairing several colors with my snowflakes and finally settled on Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy.  I've always been a fan of light pink and dark blue together, in fact I contemplated these as my wedding colors almost 28 years ago!

My sentiment is from Inspired Thoughts.  I've said it before, but I'll say it again:  I just love this font.

Dashing Deer ~ HSS376, GDP316

Hello stampers!  Today's card is for Hand Stamped Sentiments inspiration challenge for November.  I really, really love this picture of the deer and felt so inspired by the wintery colors.  I pulled my card together with the help of the case the designer challenge at Global Design Project....in fact, I couldn't pass up the chance to participate in this challenge because I just love Stesha's style!  I've actually cased a few of her cards in the past!  Anyhow, seeing her card got my creative juices flowing!
I used an older set called Dashing Deer along with the matching dies from that set.  I also used a new favorite die set of mine called Seasonal Swirls.

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!
