'Tis the Season ~ HSS301

Hello stampers!  Today's card is for the newest Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #301.  Isn't this sketch fabulous???!!! I simply love it.
My card came together fairly quickly.  I have had this sparkle snowflake laying around for a long time....two years probably.  A few weeks ago, I laid it out with a pearlized doily and a scrap of Foil Frenzy paper and just waited for the right project to come along to match the materials with.  Well, today was the day!  I love the way this turned out! A few rustic elements and a some shimmer and shine mix well together.

Here's a list of my supplies....
Stamps: Christmas Pines
Ink: Balmy Blue
Paper: Whisper White, Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, Foil Frenzy
Accessories: Wood snowflake, glitter snowflake (recycled from a Christmas gift), Pearlized Doily, White shimmer ribbon, Burlap ribbon, Corrugated TIEF, Clear Faceted Gem

I hope you'll be able to play along with us at HSS!
Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Simple Joys Pink and Gray ~ CCMC532, CFC210

Hi there stampers!  Todays card comes by way of Create with Connie and Mary's freshest sketch challenge.  I also used the color combo from CAS-ual Fridays #210.
This card also combines several stamps and stamp sets.  When I first looked at the sketch I could think of nothing else but a shaker card, so that was my jumping off point.  I used a card base of Smokey Slate and stamped the birch bark stamp from Winter Woods inked in Basic Gray.  I thought this made a nice background.  The Buffalo Check is so outdoorsy too, that I knew I needed to feature it as well.  I stamped it in Basic Gray ink onto Blushing Bride cardstock and then die cut the circle for the shaker window.  After the sentiment from Christmas Pines was stamped through the die-cut window onto the Whisper White, I embossed the top and bottom of the panel with the Softly Falling EF.  .

I embellished the front of the card with one of deer from Dashing Deer Thinlits, a couple snowflakes cut from the Blizzard Thinlit, a couple of trees from the Card Front Builder framelits, and sentiment banner from Peaceful Noel.  I topped each snowflake with a clear faceted gem.  All the embellishments on the card front (except for the sentiment banner) were spritzed with Frost White Shimmer.

The inside of the card was decorated with the two deer from Dashing Deer and a couple more die-cut snowflakes.
Here's a list of my supplies....
Stamps: Winter Woods, Dashing Deer, Peaceful Noel, Christmas Pines, Buffalo Check
Ink: Basic Gray, Blushing Bride
Paper: Smokey Slate, Blushing Bride, Whisper White
Accessories: Card front Builder Framelits, Dashing Deer Framelits, Blizzard Thinlit, Softly Falling EF, Clear Faceted Gems

I hope to see you playing along with this cool sketch challenge at CCMC this week!
Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Elegant Pumpkin ~ CCMC530, PP412

Hi there stampers!  I created today's card for Create with Connie and Mary's newest sketch challenge #530.  It also takes in The Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge #412.  I went with the straight across the middle combo of  ribbon, pumpkin, and embossing, but I see I could also use left top diagonal with leaves, pumpkin, and sequins or glitter!  I love tic-tac-toe challenges!
I went with a punch art pumpkin that I embossed with the Cable Knit TIEF and sponged.  I fussy cut the little stem from a scrap of Soft Suede CS.  The long panel is a Tin Tile TIEF embossed piece of Gray Granite with some Gray Granite sponging to bring out the tiles.  It's backed by a piece of Copper foil.
Let's talk about the ribbon for a moment, shall we?  Oh. My. Goodness.  Have you ever seen such beautiful, elegant ribbon?  I think it's so gorgeous!  Coppery on one side and all Merry Merlot on the other. I'm in love with Merry Merlot and know it's gonna be one of my favorite Christmas colors.
I zig-zagged the the ribbon onto the left side of the Gray Granite panel and arranged some leaves and sprigs punched from some Joyous Noel glimmer paper in copper and Merry Merlot.  I popped my pumpkin up on top of it all and added a Braided Linen trim bow.  The sentiment is also embossed with copper embossing powder.

Here's a list of my supplies....
Stamps: Very Vintage
Ink: Versamark, Gray Granite
Paper: White, Gray Granite, Joyous Noel Glimmer, Copper Foil
Accessories: Layering Ovals Framelits, Leaf punch, Sprig punch, Braided Linen Trim, Merry/Copper reversible ribbon, Cable Knit & Tin Tile TIEFs

Blueberry Harvest ~ CCMC529, SUOC208, Inkspire368

Hi stampers!  Today's card is for Create with Connie and Mary's new color challenge of Blueberry Bushel, Gray Granite, and Highland Heather.  What a pretty combo!
I'm also entering my card into the SUO Fall/Nature Challenge and also Inkspire Me #368 Challenge Fall/Halloween.
I decided to create a nice, bright floral floral arrangement with the Country Home stamp set.  I stamped the images in versamark ink on watercolor paper and embossed them in black.  I colored the images with my blender pen and ink pads.  I discovered that I really enjoyed this way of applying color!  I had a bit more control of where the ink landed as compared to watercoloring with my aquapainter.  For smaller images like this I think this is an advantage and I will definitely be using this color technique again in the future!
I fussy cut the images out and adhered them to a whisper white piece embossed with the Quilt Top EF backed with a bit of Blueberry Bushel.  I added that to a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Gray Granite that I embossed with the fabulous Tin Tile TIEF.  I also added a decorative strip along the bottom that was stamped with the tile stamp from the set.  Looking at it now I wish I had added some Highland Heather in the tiles somehow to tie that color in a bit better.  Oh well!

I finished it off by added a little bit of clear Wink of Stella to the blue leaves.

Here's a list of my supplies....
Stamps: Country Home
Ink: Blueberry Bushel, Gray Granite, Highland Heather, Versamark
Paper: Gray Granite, Blueberry Bushel, Whisper White, Watercolor
Accessories: Black bakers twine, Black EP, Clear Wink of Stella, Quilt Top EF, Tin Tile TIEF

Jolly Bright Joyous Noel ~ HSS299, CTC197

Hey stampers!  Hand Stamped Sentiments is back with a brand new color challenge!
I'm in the Christmas card making mode with all the fun new stuff from the new Holiday catalog and I feel like it's always fun to make a few cards using non-traditional Christmas colors and these colors certainly fit that bill!  It just so happens that CASing the Catty Challenge #197 wants us to CASE from the Joyous Noel section this week and I thought that the sprigs and twigs from Joyous Noel would look cool in these colors!  I CASE'd the card in the top left corner.
I think this is kinda fun! I added the sequins to my card because I accidentally dripped a little bit of fine tip glue on my card, so I figured I'd cover it with a sequin.  I actually like the way it looks with the purple iridescent sequins, only I had a hard time photographing them because they looked green....you can see that a little bit in the photo below.

No automatic alt text available.

I added Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper sprigs, Navy Corduroy ribbon, Polka Dot Tulle ribbon, and some pink sequin trim.  I also spritzed my stitched oval with Frost White Shimmer spray.

Here's a list of my supplies.....
Stamps: Joyous Noel
Ink: Night of Navy, Gorgeous Grape, Flirty Flamingo
Paper: Whisper White, Night of Navy, Dazzling Diamonds glimmer
Accessories: Stitched Shapes die, Sprig punch, Corduroy ribbon, Polka Dot Tulle ribbon, Blushing Bride sequin trim, Dimentionals, Ticket Corner punch

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!
