Calypso Bluebird ~ CCMC543, AYSI191, PP423

Hi stampers!  Today's card is for Create with Connie and Mary's newest color challenge using Calypso Coral, Call Me Clover, and Night of Navy.  I also used the sketch from As You See It 191 and decided I'd participate in the Critters Theme Challenge from the Paper Players 423.  I think my little bird qualifies as a critter.
I used Petal Palette for this card, coloring with my Blends markers.

At first I wasn't too sure about my first card (I thought it might be too busy), so I made second card using the colors and the sketch again from AYSI. I used my Tropical Chic set for this one.  I liked the way this one turned out, but when comparing them side by side, I ended up liking the Petal Palette one just a little bit better, so I made that my main entry.  I wanted to make sure and share the second card too though!

I hope you'll be able to participate in the CCMC with us!
Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Stumped Fox ~ CCMC542, SSC195

Hello stampers!  Today's card is for Create with Connie and Mary's newest sketch challenge #542.  I've also used the color palette from Sunday Stamps Challenge 195, although I think my colors are a tad bit brighter.
The rust and peach colors reminded me of a fox, so that's the direction I headed in.
I started by stamping the fox body in Mango Melody ink and added in the eyes, nose and legs in Cajun Craze.  I punched out the body, as well as the tail, face and ears in white.  I punched another white tail accessory piece and added it under the chin.  Next, I stamped the stump with Early Espresso in on Gray Granite cardstock and fussy cut it out.  I layered the whole thing on a Balmy Blue stitched shape oval.  For the background panels, I stamped the Tree Rings background stamp in Early Espresso on Gray Granite CS again and the Buffalo Check background stamp with Balmy Blue on Balmy Blue.  I ran three strands of the braided linen twine for the center vertical element of the sketch and added a little strip of Cajun Craze to the left side of it.  Everything was mounted on a white card base.

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Special Sparkling Snowflake ~ HSS305, IB52

Hello stampers and Happy New Year!  I hope you entered 2019 happy, healthy, and safe!
Today's card is for Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge #305.  It's our January sketch.  Along with our sketch, I used the photo from Inspired By #52 Let It Snow.
With Christmas being over I turned to more of a wintery forest type feel.  I stamped the branch from Peaceful Noel around a Crumb Cake stiched shape circle with Gray Granite ink.  I also stamped the cluster of snowflakes from Snow is Glistening around the circle and embossed them with white EP.  I cut out a white snowflake from the Snowfall Thinlits dies and added it to the center of the circle, embellishing it with a clear faceted gem.  For the white panel, I stamped the tree image from Snow is glistening all over, making it look like the panel was stamped with a background stamp.  I added a sentiment from Snow is Glistening that I thought could be a birthday greeting.  I ran the whole white panel through the big shot with my Subtle TIEF.  I embossed the Gray Granite background piece with my Woodland EF and sponged it with Gray Granite ink.  I also sponged the Crumb Cake card base, the white snowflake panel and the Crumb Cake circle.  I added a bit of Silver Thread to the back of the Crumb Cake circle as well.  After adhering the whole thing together, I spritzed it with Champagne Shimmer mist spray. I painted on extra sparkle to the main snowflake with my Wink Of Stella pen.  The shimmer of it all is amazing in real life!

I stamped the inside with a partial sentiment from Snow is Glistening and then added a Happy Birthday from Beautiful Bouquet.

I hope you'll be able to join us for the January sketch challenge at HSS!
Thanks for taking peek!

Hooray Winter Birthday ~ CCMC541, GDP170

Hello stampers!  Today's card is for Create With Connie and Mary's newest color challenge.  Now that Christmas is over I guess it's time to move on to making other kinds of cards.  I always enjoy making Christmas cards and feel a little bit of a let down this time of year.  This color combo is nice and cheery though, and just right for a birthday card!
I used the set Broadway Birthday.  I love the Hooray image that you can add the dots to.  It's a ton of fun!
I think this theme would have looked better with another embossed background but I had this card base laying on my desk already embossed with the Cable Knit embossing folder, so I decided to not let it go to waste.  This could totally be for someone's winter birthday!
Anywho, I hope you'll be able to join us at Create with Connie and Mary for this week's challenge!
I also chose to use the sketch from Global Design Project #170 .

Here's a list of my supplies....
Stamps: Broadway Birthday
Ink: Gorgeous Grape, Blueberry Bushel, Balmy Blue
Ink: Same
Accessories: Cable Knit TIEF, Adhesive backed sequins, Decorative Ribbon Border punch, Wink of Stella

Noel Evergreen Spray ~ CCMC539, SIP179, ATSM, SUOC212

Hey there stampers!  Today's card is for this fabulous Christmasy color challenge put together by Create with Connie and Mary.
I chose to go with some greenery and the big Noel from Christmas Pines.  Christmas Pines and the coordinating Pretty Pines thinlits have long been a favorite of mine!  The white diecut branch is from the Petals and More Thinlits set and I painted it with Champagne Shimmer paint.  I topped my greenery off with a triple bow made from the braided trim and then finished the card of with green adhesive backed sequins.
I love how simple and rustic this card is.
Other challenges I'm playing along with are:

Here you can see some of the shimmer painted on the white branch.
The background is a woodgrain piece of DSP from Festive Farmhouse.

Merry Patterns Merry Christmas ~ HSS304, GDP167

Hi there stampers!  Today's card is for the new Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge!
I've got a mix of old and new on this card--the deer from Merry Patterns, a limited time stamp set released last year, is old as well as the "Merry" diecut, the red stitched ribbon, and the sprig of pine.  The new consists of the Festive Farmhouse DSP, the Corrugated TIEF, and the adhesive backed sequins, which are really handy, btw!
I'm also playing along with Global Design Project 'Tis the Season theme challenge.

This deer was a cast off from another project, as well as the corrugated circle, Merry diecut and pine sprig, so this card only took a matter of minutes to put together!  It was serendipitous all these pieces laying on my desk happened to come together!

I hope you'll be able to play along with us at HSS!
Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!
