Triangle Trees ~ CCMC380

Hey everybody!  Welcome to Thursday, which means another Create with Connie and Mary Challenge!  This week we've got another super color combination for you.

I on a complete Christmas card kick and can't seem to break away from it!  I'm building up a great stash, thanks to all these great challenges!
I was inspired by this photo I found on Pinterest....
DIY Christmas Trees:

I liked the different textures and sizes of the triangle shaped Christmas trees.
For the background of the card I swiped my Smokey Slate marker across a larger size acrylic block, spritzed it with water and applied it directly onto white cardstock.  I like the wintery sky look it gave me!   I added lots and lots of punch confetti stars.

Here's a list of my supplies....
Stamps: White Christmas, Happy Scene
Paper: White, Brushed Silver, Neutral DSP pack, Real Red, Smokey Slate, Black Glimmer, Silver Glimmer
Ink: Smokey Slate
Accessories: Elegant Dots and Decorative Dots EF

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Rustic Holiday Home ~ MMC133, The Challenge 18, FMS161

I'm combining three challenges with today's card.  They are:

I actually forgot that The Challenge comes with a built in sketch and I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.  Merry Monday's challenge was to make a rustic card using browns and creams.  I threw a little red in there for good measure and that incorporated The Challenge #18!

For this card, I actually embossed the little snowflakes that go with White Christmas, but you can't see them in the photograph.  I used to have the perfect light in my kitchen for taking pictures of my card, but we are remodeling and my light went away.  I'm trying to experiment with different lights in different spaces.  Nothing is working as good as my old one, which I'm bummed about.  I will figure something out eventually, I guess!
I also used my Signo gel pen to add some snow to the trees and house.  I love this cute little scene!  Holiday Home and White Christmas compliment each other nicely and are fun to use together.

The little snowflake in the corner is a Momenta cut & emboss die that is from Hobby Lobby.

Here's a list of supplies I used.....
Stamps: White Christmas, Holiday Home, Hardwood
Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight & Crumb Cake Blendabilities.
Paper: Baked Brown Sugar, Very Vanilla, Real Red
Accessories: Homemade Holiday Framelits, Woven satin ribbon, naturals buttons, gel pen, linen thread, dimensionals, Momenta cut & emboss die.

Fab Friday 53

Hello everyone!  I made this card for Fab Friday 53 sketch challenge....

I just LOVE this cute little station wagon with the tree on top!  It looks fabulous colored red, doesn't it?!!!  The Blendabilities markers are just the right thing to use when coloring in these images....so, so easy!  First I stamped the trees, then added the sky in the form of chalk!  It's been forever since I used chalk!  It was super easy to get just the right amount of sky with a soft cotton ball.  Then, I stamped in the car and Christmas tree and colored those in. I used the color lifter to highlight the center part of the car.
I don't have the Crumb Cake or skin color assortment yet, but those are next on my list, so I colored in the big trees with a Soft Suede regular marker.  It worked just fine for that.

Here's a list of supplies that I used.....
Stamps: White Christmas
Paper: Marina Mist, Smokey Slate, White, Cherry Cobbler, Season of Style DSP stack
Ink: Memento black, Marina Mist,  Soft Suede marker, Cherry Cobbler, Smokey Slate, and Old Olive Blendabilites
Accessories: Chalk, Naturals designer button, Arrows EF, Linen thread
