Fall Wedding Foliage ~ CTD810, TTTC256

I created this card for a wedding we are attending this weekend.  I was inspired by this card on Instagram made by Sandra Strobel.  Her cards are real works of art!

I used Color Throwdown's color combination this week of brick red, terracotta, and green.  The colors I used were Copper Clay, Pecan Pie, and Old Olive.
And because I always like to see if I can combine challenges, I found Tic Tac Toe Challenge #256 and I used the vertical left column of Spring/Fall, Embossing, and Layers.

I was also inspired by a video by Karen Titus where she demonstrated how to make an exploding or busted canvas card.  My exploding canvas is kind of covered up, by all the foliage, but I like it like that!

Here's a list of my supplies....
Stamps: Changing Leaves, Everyday Greetings, Happiness Abounds
Ink: Pecan Pie
Paper: Pecan Pie, Copper Clay, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Country Woods DSP
Accessories: Tasteful Textiles EF, Changing Leaves EF and dies, Woven Golden Leaves, Craft Rope, Druzy Embellishments

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Latte Thanks ~ HSS446, SSC343, TTTC255

Hello stampers!  Today's card is for Hand Stamped Sentiments latest sketch challenge.  It's a trio of something sketch!  I don't know why, but I've always seemed to shy away from sketches like this.  Sometimes it's good to step out of your comfort zone.  That's why I love these challenges!  It forces me to use colors, sketches and themes I might not usually gravitate towards!
Anyway, I used my Latte Love set to mimic the three circles from the sketch.  I played with the color combo from Sunday Stamps Challenge and also used the down column of Leaves, Ink Blending, and Multiples at Tic Tac Toe Challenge.
to start out with, I stamped my three images with Crumb Cake ink on white cardstock.  I used Pecan Pie ink to stamp the heart design coffee.  I then colored all three images with blends:  Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, and Copper Clay.  I like the no line look the Crumb Cake ink gives after the whole image is colored.
Next, I cut out a stitched rectangle from watercolor paper and put a Boho Blue watercolor wash on it.  I pulled out my Changing Leaves dies and but leaves from vellum and Crushed Curry cardstock.
For the background, I stamped the coffee ring and coffee splatter stains on Copper Clay cardstock and then ran it though the Cut and Emboss machine with my Brick and Mortar EF.  I sponged the cardstock lightly with Pecan Pie ink to give the bricks a bit more definition.  The card was finished off with a cute sentiment from a retired coffee set called Press On and a few Dots for Days embellishments.
