Here For You Flower ~ CCMC473, GDP102

Hello Stampers!  Another week has come and gone and that means it's time for another Create with Connie and Mary Challenge!  It's color week and we've got these three elegant colors for you:  Dapper Denim, Soft Suede, and Pear Pazzazz.
I went with the small flower from the Birthday Blooms set.  This little flower is often neglected for it's bigger more beautiful star of the show bloom.  I decided to make it into a Here For You card, which could be a sympathy card if needed.  I also used the sketch over at Global Design Project #102.  I channeled my inner Teneale Williams for this one!  I just love her style!

Thanks for taking a peek and I hope you can join us for the Challenge on the Create with Connie and Mary facebook page!

Eastern Palace meets Swirly Bird ~ CCMC472

Hi stampers!  Welcome to another week at Create With Connie and Mary!  This time we have a neat sketch for you.
I had actually created my main circle panel for another project and decided I didn't want to use it, so it has been laying around my desk for a few weeks.  I picked it up and thought it would work nicely for this week's sketch!  I added a Ruffled Impressions textured background, some coordinating DSP behind it, a strip of gold foil paper and some gold sequins to tie the gold accents into the main circle and voila!  My card was practically done for me and only took me minutes to put together!  I love it when that happens.  My normal card time is about an hour.  I like to think about how things should go together, and then think about it again!
I super pleased about how this one turned out!

Here's a list of my supplies....
Stamps: Swirly Bird, Birthday Blooms
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Lemon Lime Twist, Dapper Denim
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Dapper Denim, White, Eastern Palace DSP, White, Gold Foil
Accessories: Swirly Bird Framelits, Ruffled Textured Impressions folder, Scalloped Circle Framelits, Stitched Circle framelit, metallic sequins, dimensionals.

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Burlap Flower Shop ~ HSS271

Hello stampers!  It's sketch time at Hand Stamped Sentiments!  This one is interesting and our designers have come up with some awesome samples to inspire you!  Check them out at the HSS blog.  I chose to go with an oldie but a goodie stamp set....Flower Shop.  I love this flower that looks like burlap.  I thought it would pair nicely with the Tree Rings background, which I also love.  The navy gingham ribbon add another touch of country as well as the burlap ribbon.  I chose a simple, to the point sentiment from Jar Of Love.  I'm a fan of cards that can be used for a variety of things.  "For You" can cover birthdays, thank you, or just because.

Come play along with us in this time's sketch challenge!
Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Smokey Kitty ~ CCMC471

Hey there stampers!  It's Create with Connie and Mary color challenge time!  Smokey Slate, Bermuda Bay and Lemon Lime Twist are our trio this week.  I chose to go with a cute, gray kitty cat and built my card around her.  I based my design on Chris Slogar's cards, the palm tree being one of my favorites ever!  Thanks Chris!
I also love the little hearts in the thought bubble.  This little kitty is saying Love You!
One thing I realized on my card as I'm typing up my post....I realized the Falling Petals embossing folder is retired.  I really had no idea!  I totally thought it was in the new catalog still!  Oh boy....I better do some more studying of the 2017-18 catalog!

Here's a list of my supplies....
stamps: Foxy Friends, Thoughtful Banners, Eastern Beauty
Ink: Black, Bermuda Bay, Lemon Lime Twist
Paper: Smokey Slate, Bermuda Bay, Lemon Lime Twist, White, Eastern Palace DSP
Accessories: Falling Petals EF, Fox Builder punch, Scalloped circle thinlit, circle thinlit, paper doily

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Two for One! ~ HSS270

Hey guys!  It's time for another Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge!  This time we have a color challenge with Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party and Lemon Lime Twist.  I love the soft, pretty color combo.

I based my card on the sketch from the Inkspired Sketch #62.  My panel is flipped upside down though.
I also decided to use my new Fancy Foil specialty acetate.  It really is fancy, isn't it?  I can totally dress up any card!

So I actually made two cards.  The above card was my second take.  The first one was alright, but I decided I wanted to give this color combination another go.  Here's the first card I made....

I hope you'll join us at Hand Stamped Sentiments for our two week color challenge!
Thanks for taking a peek!

Country/Rustic Jar ~ CCMC469, WWC130

Hello stampers!  Create with Connie and Mary time again! Isn't this a pretty color combo we have this week?  I've always been partial to navy and pink.  I added in some neutrals in the form of Crumb Cake and Early Espresso.  I really wanted to use my new Tree Rings background stamp.  I think it's so cool!  And actually this was the first time I've used Pinewood Planks Dynamic folder.  Ironically these two items were some of my number one picks from the new catalog and I'm just now getting around to using them!  Go figure!  I love the country/rustic look of all these elements together.  I wish this look had been a trend when I got married.  I would have been all about it!
I'm also sharing my card with Watercooler Wednesday Challenge 130-Anything Goes Feminine.  What could be more feminine than pink and purple flowers?

Here's a list of my supplies.....
Stamps: Tree Rings, Jar of Love
Ink: Powder Pink, Night of Navy, Fresh Fig, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Versa Mark
Paper: White, Crumb Cake, Vellum
Accessories: Night of Navy gingham ribbon, Everyday Jar framelits, White EP, Pinewood Planks Dynamic folder, paper doily

Thanks for taking a peek!
