Today's card is pretty special to me because I get the privilege of being a guest designer at Colour Inkspiration! I'm super honored to be chosen! I must say that this color combination was a bit challenging for me and I made about 3 different cards before I settled on this one. The Timid Tiger was throwing me off a bit, but I made it work. That's why these are called challenges, right?! I concentrated on Blueberry Bushel as my dominate color and I like the way it came out. It reminds me of a wintery flower cluster, which wasn't my intent, but that's they way it turned out!
I started out by embossing the flowers from Blessings of Home in black embossing powder on watercolor paper. I figured I could control the hues a bit better with watercolor. I watercolored with each color from the challenge and then went back in and added some blends markers with coordinating colors to add a bit more depth. I die cut the bouquet out and popped it up on a background of Vanilla, embossed with the Distressed Tile embossing folder and brushed with Blueberry Bushel ink. I cut out a bunch of the little branches, leaves and flowers that came with the Blessings of Home dies and stuck some plain vanilla in behind and some brushed with more Blueberry Bushel. I chose the sentiment dies and stamps from Sweet Blooms, in silver foil and cream, to finish my card, along with a few basic rhinestones.
Here's a list of my supplies....
stamps: Blessings of Home, Sweet Blooms
ink: Blueberry Bushel, Bubble Bath, Timid Tiger, Azure Afternoon, Gorgeous Grape, Versamark
paper: Vanilla, Silver Foil, Watercolor
accessories: Black EP, Distressed Tile EF, Basic Rhinestones, Blessings of Home and Sweet Blooms dies
I'm really looking forward to seeing what everyone else comes up with for this combo.
Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!
