Manly Mojo Monday 230

Mojo Monday 230 was a perfect fit for me and my Noble Deer stamp set.  I flipped the sketch upside down.  I had seen people making the little pinecones around Christmas and I loved them....however, I didn't get a chance to incorporate them into any of my Christmas cards this year. So here it is!  This was the perfect chance to make a card with the little pinecone!  I'm so pleased with the way this turned out and I love, love, love this set for my masculine cards.
Here are the supplies I used for my deer card.......
Stamps: Noble Deer
Paper: Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Garden Green, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla
Ink: Stazon Black, Garden Green, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Blender pen and Watercolor pencils, Scallop Oval punch, Oval punches, Tree Bark EF, Twine, Little Leaves Sizzlet die, Dimentionals

ColourQ 125 - Dusty Apothecary

This card is for Colour Q #125 using Dusty Durango, Baja Breeze, Lucky Limeade and Basic Gray.  I chose to use the biggest image out of the Apothecary Art set and this was the first time it's seen any ink!  I thought the flowers in this image would really pop with the Durango and Baja colors.  I used the Manhatten Rose EF to emboss the Baja side panel....I think that folder and this stamp go so well together.  The ruffled Baja Seam Binding ribbon adds just the right romantic touch to this card, in my book!  Here is a list of supplies I used.........
Stamps: Appothecary Art
Paper: Dusty Durango, Lucky Limeade, Baja Breeze, Basic Gray, Vanilla
Ink: Stazon Black, Baja Breeze, Basic Gray
Accessories: Blender Pen and Watercolor Pencils, Manhatten Rose EF, Latte Buttons, Baja Seam Binding ribbon

This card is for the Create with Connie and Mary #190 sketch challenge.  I used the pastels on black technique from over at splitcoaststampers.  When I browsed through the pastels on black gallery, I spotted this card made by ckbytheresa.  I loved the colors she used and was very inspired.  This is what I came up with for my card.  I have to admit that this is not my favorite card I've ever made, but it's O.K.  I misted the main panel with shimmer spray to give it some sparkle.  Here are the supplies I used......
Stamps: Growing Green
2012 Create Challenges-008Paper: Black, Wisteria Wonder, Brilliant Blue, In-Color DP
Ink: VersaMark
Accessories: White EP, colored pencils, Labels die, scallop ribbon punch, Wisteria ruffled ribbon, Vintage Wallpaper EF

Mojo Monday 229 ~ Baby Girl Bundle

Here's my card for Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge 229.

It's a little hard to see in the photograph, but I fussy cut the little pair of booties from this set and dangled them from the bow on some silver thread....so cute in real life!  Actually, now that I think about it, I might go back and add some diamond dust glitter to the tips of each bootie.  That could be just the right final touch!  I also ran the whole base of the card through my Big Shot using a polkadot EF.  I think it made the backround look kind of like a baby quilt.
Here is a list of supplies I used......
Stamps: Baby Bundle, Distressed Dots
Paper: DP & pink cardstock from Close to My Heart, White (SU)
Ink: Stazon Black, Regal Rose
Accessories: Blender pen and watercolor pencils, Three Heart punch, Modern Label and Word Window punch, Corner Round punch, Wasabi Striped ribbon, Rhinestone basics, Silver thread, Large Dot EF

SSC243 & Color Throwdown 180

Uuuhhhggg!  The last couple of months have been VERY trying for me.  To top everything off, my computer is on it's last leg, I'm afraid.  I've got another one order from my computer gal, but she's on vacation and won't be back for a couple weeks to install everything for me.....so, for now, I'll stuggle with this stupid computer and it being SO SLOW just so I can post a card or two.  :)  And hey, maybe I should look on the bright side and see that at least I can still make a post!  (Even if it does take exta long).

Anyway...here's something that makes me smile!  A cheery little card that combines Saturday Sketch Challenge 243 over at Stamping 411 with Color Throwdown 180 (use Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue, So Safron, and Going Gray).  I used my brand new stamp set called Array of sunshine.  I can totally see so many possibilities with this set!
I stamped the main flower image three times, once in pumpkin pie, once in so saffron and once in bashful blue and fussy cut them all out.  I also stamped the leaf-looking stamp in gray and cut that out too.  I layered the flower together and curled up the edges to give it some dimention.  I also added a yellow rhinestone brad to the center of the flower.  I also got to play with my edglits die and embossing folder....that was fun!  Here are the other supplies used on this card.....
Stamps: Array of Sunshine
Paper: Pumpkine Pie DP (retired from last years SAB), Going Gray DP, So Saffron, Bashful Blue and White
Ink: Same as above
Accessories: Edglits die and EF, Gray bakers twine, Circle cutting system, Lattice EF, Rhinestone brad

Fabric Flower

This is a card for The Paper Players Theme Challenge 81using flowers.  My card was also inspired by Renee from Stamping for Sanity.  She does absolutely beautiful work!
The sentiment says: It's a Beautiful Day To Say..... and on the inside it says:  I think you're Special.  I've had this set since way, way back when I first began stamping.  I think I bought it at a little specialty store that used to be in our area.  It was the old foam block kind, so I used the clear mount cling foam from Stampin' Up to convert these oldies into usable stamps.
For the flower, I used the melted ribbon techinque.  It is so fun and easy!  It is amazing to see a bunch of pleated up ribbon transform into a beautiful flower right before your eyes!

Here are the supplies I used on my card.....
Stamps: Elements of Style, French Script, old sentiment from my stash
Paper: Wisteria Wonder DP, Night of Navy, Pear Pizzaz, White
Ink: Wisteria Wonder, Navy
Accessories: Navy Satin ribbon, Half Pearl, Certainly Celery Polyester ribbon, circle punch, two sided sticky paper.

Heart to Heart to Heart

Janurary was not a good month for me and I didn't get alot of time to participate in challenges or even update my posts.  I hope to get back in the swing of things in February!
This card is for the Our Creative Corner love is in the air recipe challenge.  The challenge is to use pink, craft and gray on a valentine project and also incorporate bling or sparkle and a heart or hearts.  I love the pink and gray or the pink and craft, but wasn't sure about all three together.  I like the way my project turned out though!  I used a card from the 2011-2012 SU catalog (page 207) as my inspiration.
Here are the supplies I used......
Stamps: P.S. I Love You, Disstressted Dots
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Basic Gray
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Basic Gray, Crumb Cake, White
Accessories: Heart to Heart punch, Word Window and Modern Label punches, Edgelits border die, Swiss Dot EF, Rhinestone stickers
