Happy Thursday stampers! It's Create with Connie and Mary time again! I've combined this week's sketch with the inspiration challenge at Merry Monday 212.
My version of the sketch is mirror flipped....but I'm not sure why. Maybe it's because I prefer everything to flow from left to right??? Could be. Anyway, I switched up the sketch just a tad bit!
I've always been a fan of black, gold and white for Christmas, so I was all about the Merry Monday challenge. I'm also a sucker for deer images, so this cute little reindeer fit the bill nicely. I just think he is super cute!
I embossed the black strip with the Gently Falling EF and then lightly sponged some white ink over the top to make it look like snow.
For the gold trees I stamped one of the tree images from {Foxy Friends} onto the backside of the gold foil paper and then fussy cut them out. I added stars punched from Gold Glimmer paper with the confetti star punch.
The whole thing is layered on a white Woodland embossed "forest".
I hope you'll hop over the Create with Connie and Mary and play along with us....and make sure you take inspiration from my fellow designers!
Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!
Jenny
While I too, like deer images....what drew my attention to your card first was the gold glimmer stars on the gold foil trees....GENIUS! I LOVE that look!
ReplyDeleteLove your card! The sweet little deer, the gold and black classiness, the little gold stars here and there...wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThe gold glimmer on foil is a wow! I also love that little fox made into a deer - that may be my favorite of the animals you can make, and yours is adorable in his little setting!
ReplyDeleteOoo love this Jenny - cute and classy! Love those starry gold trees and the sweet reindeer. This card has a real touch of luxury about it.
