Calypso Bluebird ~ CCMC543, AYSI191, PP423

Hi stampers!  Today's card is for Create with Connie and Mary's newest color challenge using Calypso Coral, Call Me Clover, and Night of Navy.  I also used the sketch from As You See It 191 and decided I'd participate in the Critters Theme Challenge from the Paper Players 423.  I think my little bird qualifies as a critter.
I used Petal Palette for this card, coloring with my Blends markers.

At first I wasn't too sure about my first card (I thought it might be too busy), so I made second card using the colors and the sketch again from AYSI. I used my Tropical Chic set for this one.  I liked the way this one turned out, but when comparing them side by side, I ended up liking the Petal Palette one just a little bit better, so I made that my main entry.  I wanted to make sure and share the second card too though!

I hope you'll be able to participate in the CCMC with us!
Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!
Jenny

  1. Jenny, this is a lovely way to use the sketch - the large circle does make a great spotlight for a feature like the bird on a bough. I've never thought to use the bird from Petal Palette in this way as I always end up getting out Best Birds instead but it looks great like this! Thank you for joining us at As You See It this week.

  2. I really like that colour combo, Jenny and it really works with Petal Palette and the bird. That navy gingham bow is the highlight for me though! Thanks for playing along with As You See It Challenge this week!

  4. Jenny, I love both versions of the sketch. I really do love the bird and the little pop of black and white on the ribbon. So glad you shared your birdy with us at the Paper Players this week

  5. They are both wonderful! I have to admit that those colors would send me running for the hills, but you managed two lovely creations...good for you! Thanks for sharing these both at AYSI!!
