Happy Birthday to You! ~ CCMC477, GDP106

Hello stampers!  Today we have a color challenge from Create with Connie and Mary!  These are pretty Halloween-y colors, I think although I'm not sure any of the designers went in that direction!  I'm not a huge fan of Halloween cards myself, so I chose to stick with autumn flowers.  These little flowers come from the beautiful, verstitile {Happy Birthday Gorgeous} set.  I love these little buds and don't they remind you of the gorgeous fall mums available this time of year?
I also used the sketch from Global Design Project #106 to help me out with my design.

I hope you'll join us this week for our color challenge.  I'm excited to see what everyone does with these colors!
Post your creations on the Create with Connie and Mary Facebook page.

Here's a list of my supplies....
Stamps: Happy Birthday Gorgeous
Ink: Calypso Coral, Fresh Fig, Pear Pizzazz
Paper: Eastern Palace DSP, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Iridescent sequins, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Petal Burst EF, Calypso Coral chevron ribbon.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Rustic Mix of Old and New ~ AYSI159

Hey stampers!  Well, it's been quite some time since I made a card that wasn't for one of the design teams that I'm on.  I had some extra time today and decided to use it to stamp something fun!  I was really intrigued by the As You See It Challenge #159.  It's all about using stuff in you "stash"...which is something that I TOTALLY need to do!  I had so much fun creating this card!  I also used the sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #242, but I don't think I'll link it because my card is definitely not CAS!  I liked the sketch, though, and I worked in nicely with the AYSI challenge.

So, I was able to used a nice mix of old products and new on this card.  Old: Perfect Pairings stamp set.  This was a sale-a-bration set that I hardly ever used.  I think the font goes nicely with the worn wood/rustic look.  Also old are the antique brads and the gingham (striped) DSP from the Fruit Stand pack.  Current products are: Wood Words stamp set, Ticket border punch, Wood Textures DSP, linen thread, and circle punches.

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Christmas Blessings Village ~ CCMC476, INKspire Me371

Hello stampers!  Create with Connie and Mary time again and it's sketch week.  I recently got some new holiday stamps and goodies in the mail and was eager to use them.  I really love these Hometown Greetings edgelits dies.  I used the colors from Inkspire Me Challenge #317 and figured the gold glimmer paper would look fantastic behind the cutouts on the buildings.  I love the clean look of the white houses and trees.  I added in a bit of espresso ribbon and gold sequin trim to mimic the diagonal element of the sketch.  Also, the Gently Falling EF ties into the theme nicely.  I used a greeting from Christmas Pines because I felt like all the greetings from the coordinating set to the houses were too big.

Sail Baby ~ HSS273, TGIF125

Hello friends!  Today starts another challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments.  We've got three rich colors for you to play with!  I hope to see many of your creations in the gallery.
After searching for inspiration found with TGIF Challenges #125,  I finally decided on this sailboat from Swirly Bird.   The colors are a bit darker and richer than one would probably usually use on a baby card, but I think they work!
The other fun element to my card is that it's a shaker!  It adds to the fun theme of a baby card.

I added some ribbon and sequins for accents along with the baby sentiment and that was it!

Distressed Chicken ~ CCMC475, TGIF124, JAI376

Hello stampers!  It's Thursday, so that mean it's time for another Create with Connie and Mary Challenge!
At first I didn't think I'd enjoy these colors, but boy was I wrong!  I had a great time putting this card together and enjoyed these colors greatly!
I used the sketch from TGIF #124 and inspiration from Just Add Ink #376...Just Add "D".  My "D" is distressed.

Joyful Pines ~ CCMC474, Merry Monday255

Hello stampers!  Create with Connie and Mary is back for another challenge.  It's sketch week and isn't this one appealing!  There's so many neat ways this one could go and our designers have whipped up several ideas to inspire you! Check out the Create With Connie and Mary page to see all the creations.
I'm starting to get into Christmas Card mode.  I loved this Christmas Pines set from last year's holiday catalog and I was so pleased to see they brought it into this years full catalog!  I also loved the cable knit folder....which I may have mentioned a time or two.  I am absolutely in love with the texture these new Dynamic Texture folders provide.
I used a peice of Wood Textures DSP for the background half circle.  I like the warmth the wood-look provides.  I tried to play off the colors in the wood, mimicking them in the pine cones and textured background piece. I had to add a pop of color with the red berry sprigs and the red accent paper strip.  The bow was one that was discarded from a previous project and laying around my desk begging to be used.  I was very happy to oblige it!  Anything to make a card come together faster!  LOL!

The sentiment ties the red, green, and vanilla together from the main panel.
Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #255 is all about Joy.  Not only does my sentiment have the word Joy in it, this card gives me a lot of joy as well!

I hope you can join us by uploading your version of the sketch to the Create With Connie and Mary facebook page!

Inspirational Cozy Leaves ~ HSS272, CTD458, JAI375

Hello stampers!  Another Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge is upon us and it's photo inspiration time!  I love the inspiration challenges!
I chose to be inspired by the white sweater, the weathered wood, and the leaves.  I also used the colors at Color Throwdown #458 and the sketch from Just Add Ink #375.

The red and green leaves are from a sizzix die platform that goes way, way back.  I don't have the current set of leaf dies.  The yellow sprigs are from Christmas Pines, which is one of my favorite sets.  I was more than happy to pull out my Cable Knit Dynamic folder....oh, how I've missed it!  It is another of my favorites.  I used some of the Wood Textures DSP for my weathered wood element.  A stitched circle sentiment and gold twisted bakers twine finish off my card.

Come play along with us at Hand Stamped Sentiments!
