Heal Your Heart ~ CCMC652, GDP280

Today's card is for Create with Connie and Mary's new color challenge featuring Highland Heather, Seaside Spray, and Just Jade.  

I used my new die set called Beautiful Brushstrokes to create my card.  I liked the card that was featured as a Case The Designer challenge over at Global Design Project and I figured the roses from this die set would work great.  

I was also able to use some of the great Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate for my background.  It's gold on one side, but silver on the other and I figured the silver complimented these colors better.  

To get the two-tone color on my roses, I sponged Highland Heather and Seaside Spray on each of the top two layers of the roses.  

The sentiment is from Heal Your Heart, which is from the Sale-a-bration Catalog.  I just love the font on this one and think it's gonna be one that's used for a long time to come.

Cactus and Succulents Galore! HSS358

Hello stampers!  Today's card is for Hand Stamped Sentiments February photo inspiration challenge.  Cactus and succulents galore!  I really love the Desert Bloom set Stampin Up retired a couple years ago, so I've held onto it.  I'm glad I did. I was able to dig it out and make this pretty little desert scene.   

For the background on my circle I used my new blending brushes and wow, do they work nice!  They blend the ink so smoothly!  I love it!

Hee Haw Birthday ~ CCMC651, GDP279, CAS Colours & Sketches 407

Hello stampers!

Today's card is for Create with Connie and Mary's new sketch challenge for the week of February 18-25.  

I used the cute set from our Sale-a-bration catalog called Darling Donkeys.  Because of that I'm entering my card in Global Design Project's animal theme.  I also used the color combo from CAS Colours and Sketches featuring Flirty Flamingo, Gray Granite, and Misty Moonlight.

The DSP I used is also a Sale-a-bration item called Paper Blooms.

The little tiny flowers I added to my sentiment are from Pretty Perennials die set.  

I think this card turned out super cute!

Pink Hey Chick ~ CCMC650, GDP278

Hey stampers!  Today's card is for Create with Connie and Mary's color challenge using Real Red, Flirty Flamingo, and Bermuda Bay.  I also used the sketch from Global Design Project to help me with my design team card.  

Can I just say how thrilled I am that Stampin' Up brought back this stamp set, Hey Chick?  I really loved it when it was a Sale-a-bration set a few years ago and held onto my set.  All I had to do was pick up the coordinating dies that they came out with!  It's all so cute!  

This chick was super fast to color with my blends markers.  It took literally one minute!

I also used some of the Flower and Field DSP that I received FREE with my order!  I added some texture to the white background with the Tasteful Textures EF.

I finished my card off with a couple of stitched shapes circle dies, some black shimmer ribbon, and a Tasteful Label stamped with my sentiment. 

 

Oval Occasions Valentine Baby ~ HSS357

Hey there stampers!  Today's card is for Hand Stamped Sentiments February color challenge featuring Real Red, Blushing Bride, and Bermuda Bay.  They really remind me of valentine colors.....probably because it's just about Valentine's Day!  Anyway, I just received this new Oval Occasions set in my latest order and thought these were nice color options for this cute little baby set.
