Today's card is for
Hand Stamped Sentiments inspiration challenge #391. I was really drawn to the bottom left photo of the green meadow and lake. All these pictures say summer and you can't go wrong being inspired by any of them!
Anyway, I went back to a couple oldie but goodie sets....Waterfront and Snow Front. I used the dark green mountain, lake and trees from Snow Front and the rest from Waterfront.
I was looking for a sketch to go along with my card but didn't find any this week, however, over at
CASEing the Catty the challenge was to case any card from the catalog that had embossing. I chose the pansy card from the photo below (on page 15 of the new catalog).
The original pansy card has an embossed background and then ink has been sponged over the top. I did that on my card using the crackle background stamp and Tahitian Tide ink. I also chose to put my sentiment toward the top of the card as to not cover up my scenery.
I'm really pleased with the way this one came out. It is going to a friend of mine who recently lost her dad. I just want her to know that she is still being thought of! The sentiments are from retired Blossoming Basket and Friendly Hello.
Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!
