Improvised Purple Posy ~ CCMC601, PCC372

Hello Stampers!  Today's card is for Create with Connie and Mary's Thursday Challenge.  This week is a color challenge featuring Purple Posy, Pretty Peacock, and Old Olive.
I actually don't own any Purple Posy ink because it wasn't available when I ordered my In-Color pads and purple colors aren't my favorite anyway, so I never bothered to order it when it came available.  I improvised by mixing some Highland Heather with Blushing Bride and some Rococo Rose.  I think my watercolor came out fairly close.
I embossed one of the flower images from Bloom and Grow with black embossing powder on watercolor paper.  I only colored in the main flowers and fussy cut them out.  I wanted a smaller flower bunch to coordinate with the sketch from Paper Craft Crew Challenge #372.  I also embossed and colored some of the foliage images from the Bloom and Grow set in Old Olive and Pretty Peacock.
Now that I'm looking at the sketch I see that I forgot to add sequins or rhinestones to my card, which really bums me out because I love a little bling.  I will probably go back and add them to my card anyway....it just won't be photographed.
The sentiment is from Piece of Cake

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Woodland Fox Birthday ~ CCMC600, PP478, CCS358

Good day stampers!  Today's card is for Sketch Challenge 600 at Create with Connie and Mary!  600 Challenges....can you believe that????  I think I've been playing along since the 200's.  That's a lot of challenges.  I combined my sketch along with the Woodland Critters challenge at The Paper Players.  I also used the colors from CAS Colours & Sketches to help me out with this weeks design team card.
I reached for my Nature's Beauty set again this week and watercolored the little fox in Daffodil Delight and Grapefruit Grove.  I fussy cut him out and layered him on a stamped and sponged background.
For the accents, I used some retired Pear Pizzazz seam binding ribbon, a strip of Daffodil delight gingham DSP, and some Linen Thread.
The sentiment is from Rustic Retreat and I stamped the Crumb Cake background panel with the Birch background stamp.

Hello Gorgeous ~ HSS333

Hello there stampers!  Today's card is for Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge for February.  Our colors are Lovely Lipstick, Mint Macaron, and Gorgeous Grape.  My card is inspired by one I saw on Instagram made by Norine Borys.
I started by using a sponge dauber dipped in Champane Mist ink paint and sponging over a basic pattern mask on white cardstock.
I cut the leaf shapes from watercolor paper with my Tropical thinlits and Bouquet Bunch thinlits. I washed on some color with my aquapainter and ink pads.
I stamped the sentiment from Accented Blooms in Versamark ink and embossed it with gold embossing powder. It's popped up on dimensioals.
Everything is layered on a base of Mint Macaron.

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Romantic Silhouette ~ CCMC599

Hello Stampers!  Today's card is for Create with Create with Connie and Mary's new color challenge.  Valentine's is what comes to mind right a way when looking at these colors.  My Husband and I celebrated out 26th wedding anniversary yesterday so that's what I geared my card toward.  Our anniversary usually cancels out Valentine's day.
I started by inking the man and woman image from Silhouette Scenes in Real Red and Flirty Flamingo.  I misted the stamp with a water bottle and stamped it on watercolor paper.  I really liked how it came out!  I matted it on a piece of Flirty Flamingo that I had cut out with the Stitched Rectangles die.  I matted that on a scrap of Real Red and then on top of some Silver Glimmer.  The whole thing was layered on a base of Basic Gray.
I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray on watercolor paper and then washed the whole thing in Real Red and Flirty Flamingo.  I added some rhinestones and popped the sentiment up on dimesionals.
I spritzed the whole card with Champagne Shimmer spritz to give it extra sparkle too.
It all feels so dreamy and romantic!

Spring Bunny ~ CCMC598, TicTacToe50

Hello Stampers!  Today's card is for Create with Connie and Mary's new sketch challenge.
I chose to go with a springy creation using Nature"s Beauty and the flowers from Free as A Bird.  I think they make a nice combo, don't you?  I love how this stamp set can reflect different seasons just by changing up the colors.  I used Soft Seafoam and Seaside Spray along with Rococo Rose for the flowers.  I color the bunny with Smokey Slate and added in some Sahara Sand as well.
All of this is water-colored on watercolor paper.
I grabbed a piece from my scrap stash for the background and when I added it to my Soft Seafoam card base I realized it was just a shade different from the Soft Seafoam.  When I grabbed from my stash, I thought it was Soft Seafoam.  Upon further investigation, I believe it's a retired color called Pistachio Pudding.  It was an In Color from several years ago.  I was pretty sure I had purged all retired colors from my stash, but this one escaped me.  Anyway, I think It makes a really nice, subtle contrast on the Soft Seafoam.  Sometimes accidents are happy.
On a side note, I really loved Pistachio Pudding along with all the other In Colors that year.  Those were probably me favorite In Colors to date!
I'd love to hear what your favorite In Color is or was!
I'm also playing along with Tic Tac Toe Challenge #50 using Die Cut, Spring, and Blue.
