Citrus Bouquet ~ HSS295, JUGS451

Hey there stampers!  Today's card is for Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #295 -- a sketch challenge.  Let's talk about this sketch for a moment.  It's so cool because the sky is the limit with it.  You could go CAS or get a little more layered, like my card.  I love a sketch like this that give a little free reign.
I incorporated the inspiration photo from Just Us Girls #451.
I was loving the colors and script from the challenge photo and jumped at the chance to use some of our newer colors!  I used Pineapple Punch for the bright yellow, Grapefruit Grove for the spiky looking flowers, and Crushed Curry along with Mango Melody sponged around the edges for the two flowers on each side.  I used Granny Apple Green for the the stems and leaves.

We'd love to have you join us for our sketch challenge at HSS!  Come on and play!
Here's a list of my supples.....
Stamps: Beautiful Bouquet, French Script (retired)
Ink: Grapefruit Grove, Mango Melody, Pineapple Punch, Crushed Curry, Crumb Cake
Paper: Granny Apple Green, White, Grapefruit Grove, Crumb Cake

Tropical Chic Flamingo ~ HSS294, JUGS449, JAI417

Hello stampers!  We are back with a brand new challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments!  It's an Inspiration Challenge this time and the chosen theme is flamingos!  I just love this!  I was inspired by the flamingos, of course, and the colors in the bottom right picture.
I'm also playing along with Just Us Girls #449--Watercolor Background and Just Add Ink #417--Just Add "T".  My "T" is tropical!

I combined a couple of stamp sets here--the always awesome Fabulous Flamingo and the wonderful new Tropical Chic.  I'm loving the variety of leaves and the matching dies that this set coordinates with!  I think the card possibilities could be endless using this set!
I chose to only use the solid image from Fabulous Flamingo as I wanted to keep my flamingo "silhouetted".
I did a watercolor wash on the background and did some spattering as well.
a few sequins and some old Coastal Cabana ribbon (which I still have from when Coastal Cabana was an In-Color) finished off my card.

Here's a list of my supplies....
Stamps: Fabulous Flamingo, Tropical Chic
Ink: Flirty Flamingo, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party
Paper: Coastal Cabana, Flirty Flamingo, Whisper White, Watercolor
Accessories: Petal Burst EF, Tropical Thinlits dies, Iridescent sequins, Coastal Cabana ruffled ribbon

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Mango Blueberry Butterfly ~ CCMC517, WWYS175, TSOT371

Hello stampers!  We've got a brand spankin' new color challenge for you to play along with over at Create with Connie and Mary this week!  Our three colors are new ones from the color revamp in the 2018-19 catalog and they are Blueberry Bushel, Gray Granite, and Mango Melody.
I must say that when I saw Mango Melody in the catalog I didn't think I'd like it and couldn't see myself using it much at all, but it has grown on me!  I especially like it watercolored like on my butterfly.  It provides some nice, intense color.
By contrast I knew I'd like Blueberry Bushel right off the bat and that opinion stuck!
So, for my design team card this week I decided to use What Will You Stamp's #175 Beautiful Day challenge and also the sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday.  I went with a double diagonal fun fold to mimic the sketch.  It's such a fun way to open a card and kind of a surprise for the recipient!
I'm so pleased with the way this one turned out!

Try Stampin' on Tuesday also had an optional element of texture and I think I've got plenty of that going on here!  One texture I used is the Tufted dynamic embossing folder.  This was another item out of the new catalog that I knew I would love and use a lot.  I think it's so pretty!

here's a list of my supplies.....
stamps: Beautiful Day
Ink: Blueberry Bushel, Mango Melody, Stazon Black
Paper: Gray Granite, Blueberry Bushel, Mango Melody, Whisper White, Watercolor
Accessories: Lovely Floral and Tufted dynamic embossing folders, Pearlized Doilies, Polka dot tulle ribbon

Birthday Daisies ~ HSS293, SSC182

Hello stampers!  We have a new color challenge for you over at Hand Stamped Sentiments!  To help me in making my design team card I used the sketch from Sunday Stamps 182.
I decided to go literal with the sketch and use my Delightful Daisies set.  I stamped two daisies for each flower, using Tuxedo Black memento ink, but stamping off once so the ink wasn't so black.  It stamped more like a dark gray, which goes with the color challenge much better.  I colored the daisies with my Daffodil Delight blends markers and punch them out with the Daisy punch.

For the background, I sponged Pool Party ink onto Whisper White cardstock and then stamped it with the Hardwood background stamp inked in Smokey Slate.  I like the country feel.  I was wishing I had the Smokey Slate gingham ribbon to continue the country feel, but I don't, so I went with an older striped grosgrain ribbon instead for a little bit of embellishment.

I hope you'll join us over at HSS for this fun color challenge and remember as always our challenges last for two weeks!
Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!
