Blooming Flowering Desert ~ CCMC550, CTC217

Hello there stampers!  Today's card is my design team card for Create with Connie and Mary's latest sketch challenge.  I'm also playing along with Caseing The Catty #217 Happiness Blooms challenge.  I was inspired by the colors from the Happiness Blooms suite on page 24 of the Occasions Catalog.
The colors I used were Call Me Clover, Lovely Lipstick, Pineapple Punch, and Night of Navy.  I think these colors look awesome paired with the Flowering Desert stamp set.  I'm loving playing with this set. It's so fun!

I watercolored the little toad and used blends on the butterfly/dragonfly....or whatever he is!

Beautiful Cactus ~ CCMC547, GDP175, CTC214

Hi there stampers!  Today's card is another fabulous, fun Flowering Desert card for the latest Create with Connie and Mary color challenge.  I'm really, really loving these bright colors matched up with this set.

No photo description available.

I also used the garden path inspiration from Global Design Project #175, and I case'd this card from the Sale-a-bration catalog for Caseing the Catty #214

I'd like to point out the stitched detail on the top and bottom of the main panel.  That was accomplished with one of the impressions dies from Needlepoint Elements Framelits.  I love that little detail.  I also added a bit of clear Wink of Stella to the pink flowers.

Here's a list of my supplies....
Stamps: Flowering Desert
Ink: Coastal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape, Melon Mambo
Paper: Gingham Gala DSP, Whisper White, Coastal Cabana
Accessories: Needlepoint Elements Framelits, Organdy ribbon combo, Wink of Stella

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Stuck on you for 25 Years! GDP175, PP427, SS549, JUGS473

Hello stampers!  Today's card is one I made for my Husband for our anniversary.  We will be celebrating 25 years of marriage in just one week!
I had the idea to use the Flowering Desert cactus and stamp them in a heart shape and then add little hearts on top to mimic the flowers that these kinds of cactus tend to grow.  I think it turned out so cute!
I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday, and also the themes from Global Design Project, The Paper Players, and Just Us Girls

I didn't have any stamps that already said "Stuck on You", so I used Make a Difference photopolymer stamp set to stamp STUCK ON and the YOU from Work of Art.  The little heart comes from another retired set called Best Day Ever.

Here's a list of my supplies....
Stamps: Flowering Desert, Make a Difference, Work of Art
