Stuck on you for 25 Years! GDP175, PP427, SS549, JUGS473

Hello stampers!  Today's card is one I made for my Husband for our anniversary.  We will be celebrating 25 years of marriage in just one week!
I had the idea to use the Flowering Desert cactus and stamp them in a heart shape and then add little hearts on top to mimic the flowers that these kinds of cactus tend to grow.  I think it turned out so cute!
I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday, and also the themes from Global Design Project, The Paper Players, and Just Us Girls

I didn't have any stamps that already said "Stuck on You", so I used Make a Difference photopolymer stamp set to stamp STUCK ON and the YOU from Work of Art.  The little heart comes from another retired set called Best Day Ever.

Big Blossoms ~ CCMC404

Hello!  It's Thursday again and that means Create with Connie and Mary has a brand new challenge!  It's color week and I love this combo!!!

I started by inking the chevron stamp from {Work of Art} in Versamark ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder on the navy cardstock.  I love the tone on tone this gives.  I added these 2 big blossoms from Floral Frames Framelits.  I cut the centers of the flowers from the Smokey Slate Neutrals designer paper and then also cut the Hello from some Silver Glimmer paper.  I tied more of the silver in by adding some silver thread circles.  I don't do this embellishment nearly enough....it's fun and neat looking!  Lastly, I set the small navy butterfly from the Bold Butterfly Framelits on top of the blossoms.  The whole thing is layered on a peice of script Smokey Slate neutrals stack DSP and finished off with a Calypso Coral card base.

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Nautical and Nice ~ Card Concept #12 & The Challenge #9

Today's card come to you by way of The Card Concept #12, which used a nautical theme, and The Challenge #9 sketch.
I had so much fun mixing patterns and prints here.  My original inspiration was a clean and simple picture, and that was my intention...to do a clean and simple card...but I guess it's just not me!  This is what I ended up with and I would guess it's clean and layering (according to The Card Concept).
I just got my Kinda Eclectic stamp set in the mail and was anxious to use it.  I thought the sun/starburst image would look kinda neat behind the anchor, and I think I was right.  I like it!  And, the polka dot image is sure to be a favorite of mine.  I think it looks fabulous combined with the chevron image from Work of Art.

Here's a list of my supplies....
Stamps: Kinda Eclectic, Banner Blast, The Open Sea, Work of Art
Ink: Hello Honey, Real Red, Midnight Muse
Paper: White, Real Red, Midnight Muse DSP, Moonlight DSP pack
Accessories: Banner punch, Baked Brown Sugar bakers twine, Itty Bitty Accents punch pack, Large Polka Dot EF
