Starfish Collage ~ HSS291, JUGS443, RRCB88

Hello Stampers!  Welcome to another challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments!  We've got an inspiration challenge for you this time, which are among my faves!  One of our designers has chosen this cool ocean collage to be inspired by.
I'm also sharing my cared in Just Us Girls "Outside" challenge #443
I picked out the coral starfish to be the main "star" (haha) of my card.  I think just about every stamp I used on my card is retired and because of that I'm joining the Retro Rubber "Anything Goes" challenge #88.  The one new thing on here is the orange/coral color.  It's one of the new in-colors called Grapefruit Grove.  I toned it down a little bit by sponging it with Crumb Cake.

Thanks for taking a peek and I hope you'll be able to join us in this week's challenge!

  1. Hi Jenny!
I love the distressed feel of your card. It's like piece of driftwood. Great idea to use the coral starfish as the focal point of your project. Your card has a calm and soothing feel. Thanks for sharing your creativity with Hand Stamped Sentiments.

  2. Hey, Jenny, it's great to see you the gallery! I love this rustic nautical card, and your woodsy embellishments are perfect! One of the requirements at Retro Rubber is to tell us how old your stamp set is in order to be in the running for our Top Picks. If you can add that, we would really appreciate it. Thank you for playing with us at Retro Rubber and hope you will join us again soon.

  3. I love this! That wood background with all of the subtle prints is beautiful and I love that starfish with the banners and that cool twine. Thanks for playing along with us at JUGS!

  4. Love the background on your card, the starfish and the banners are a fabulous detail, the burlap ribbon adds a lot of beautiful texture.
Thank you for playing at RETRO RUBBER, hope you play again soon.

  5. This is an AMAZING challenge photo...I could look at it all day! And your card is equally as amazing! Love that starfish and the vintage look you achieved! So happy you shared this with us at Retro Rubber this week!
