Hello stampers! I've got a two for one sketch challenge for our
Create With Connie and Mary challenge this week. I knew I wanted to use Accented Blooms and I wanted to incorporate the colors from
TGIF challenge #171 which were So Saffron, Poppy Parade, and Pacific Point. I also decided to watercolor again (an obsession), which is why I played along with
As You See It's obsession challenge #131. I must also say that I'm obsessed with embossing folders in general but especially the basket weave one!
The first card I made is below. After I made it I wasn't too sure about the combination of thee colors and the layout, so I redid it (above), only this time I used Blends markers and blender pens with ink pads to add the color to the flowers. After finishing the second card, which was a bit more subtle and monochromatic, I couldn't decide which one I liked best. I even polled my family and they came up undecided as well, so I thought I'd just go ahead a post them both! I chose to go with the more monochromatic one as my main card for the post, since it fit the sketch just a little better. I just love the mesh polka dot ribbon for embellishing cards like this. It adds a bit of texture and fun but doesn't over-power the card at all.
Here's a list of my supplies.....
