Leather and Lace ~ PPA243

Oh my, I have a new love....a technique called Faux Leather! (Tutorial by Sharon Field)  Isn't it amazing and doesn't it really look like leather?!?!!! I know this is not a new technique, but I've never tried it and couldn't wait to give it a try.
I had originally colored a {Blended Bloom} flower in these colors and I had it in mind to put as the focal point in the middle of the Pals Paper Arts 243 sketch.
I had colored it first and wanted to use the faux leather as a background.  When I tried to put them together it didn't look right so I made another faux leather flower and cut it out with a Chalk Talk Framelit.  I just LOVE the way this came together!!!  It is sooo cool!!!

I wanted to keep it rustic looking so I stamped the center panel of Bermuda Bay with {Hardwood} and sponged it with some Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay ink.  I also wanted to incorporate some lace trim, but it was kinda the wrong color so I sponged it with some Early Espresso ink to darken it up some.  Lastly, I added some Best Year Ever ribbon and Bermuda Bay sequin trim.

Here's a list of my supplies.....
Stamps: Flower Shop, Petite Petal, Hardwood
Paper: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Bermuda Bay
Ink: Early Espresso, Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist, Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay
Accessories: Chalk Talk die, Bermuda Bay sequins, Lace Trim, Best Year Ever ribbon pack, stylus, sponges

Thanks for taking a peek!
