Sweet Woodland Deer ~ HSS228

Hi stampers!  It's time once again for a Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge!  Challenge #228 is an inspiration challenge!  These images could play out more Christmas cards or just a wintry feel.
I chose to make a shaker card using a little deer cut out from the Home For Christmas DSP, the Sleigh Ride edgelits, and the sky is also DSP from Home For Christmas.  I added gold glitter for my shaker because this little deer (and the paper in general) has a retro 60's kind of feel to it.  Gold was BIG in the 60's.

For the wooded element, I ran a piece of Baked Brown Sugar cardstock through my big shot with the Into the Woods embossing folder.  Later I took my brayer, inked up with white ink, and ran it lightly over the raised part.  This gives the trees their white birch look.

Lastly, I added a wooden snowflake with a small, gold brad attached to the center and some red woven satin ribbon to mimic the ribbon around the deer's neck.
I hope you find time to join us and participate in the challenge!  Remember, you have two weeks to play along!

Thanks for taking a peek!

Criss-Cross Christmas ~ CCMC375

Hello stampers!  Today's Thursday, which means it's time for Create With Connie and Mary again!  Yay!  I hope you can find time to play along with our awesome sketch this week!
I scaled the sketch down to make it fit inside a square "window".  I thought it would be fun to play with the criss-cross element and turn them into snowbanks made with the Sleigh Ride Edgelits.

I added in a gold glimmer paper snowflake, punched from the Snow Flurry punch, to tie in the gold in the house windows and the gold sentiment.  The little white snowflake is from last years Christmas embellishments and then I topped it off with a black sequin from the metallic sequins.
I stamped the sentiment from {Reason For The Season} in VersaMark, embossed it with Heat and Stick powder and then added the gold glitter.

Here's a list of my supplies.....
Stamps: Reason For the Season
Ink: VersaMark
Paper: Winter Wonderland Specialty DSP, White, Black, Gold Glimmer
Accessories: Gold glitter, Snow Flurry punch, Sleigh Ride Edgelits, Frosted Sequins, Square Framelits

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Sparkly Winter Sky ~ FM224

Hey friends! Today's card is all about sparkle....and who doesn't LOVE sparkle?  I sure do!  The more sparkle the better is my motto!  LOL!  If you took a look at my closet you would confirm this to be true!
The Friday Mashup is all about glitter this week.  The challenge was to create a 3-D bag or project or something with glitter or mash the two up!  I chose to just go with a card and not a 3-D project.  I was browsing on Pinterest (which is another thing I love) and came across a really cool card using the Sleigh Ride Edgelits, made by Anna Smith.  She even has a great video showing how to do the technique.  Check it out!  Anyway, my card is based on hers.  Thanks for the inspiration Anna!

Here's a list of my supplies....
Stamps: none
Paper: watercolor, White, Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper, Blackberry Bliss, Perfect Plum
Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Perfect Plum, Blushing Bride
Accessories: Sleigh Ride Edgelits, Blackberry Bliss ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds glitter

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Fall Frolicking Dog ~ CCMC372 & The Challenge 41

Hello!  It's another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge!  This week's color combo is really cool!  The only problem with my card is I used Daffodil Delight instead of So Saffron.  For some reason I had it in my head that the lightest color was Daffodil Delight.....maybe I got mixed up on the word delightful.....Delightful Dijon.  I don't know.  Anyway, one of my shades of yellow is just a bit off.

I also used the sketch from The Challenge #41.

I thought it would be fun to create a fallish night scene with these colors and the new Sleigh Ride Egdelits dies and {Jingle All the Way}.  I love the playful dog image that looks like it's frolicking along the hills!   The Woodland EF provides and extra fall feel for the background.

Make sure you hop on over the CCMC and check out all the other fabulous creations by the others on the DT!
Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!
