Western Bluebird Branch ~ HSS421

Hello stampers!  Today's card is for Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge #421.  First off, I need to say that I am so happy they brought back Misty Moonlight as a core color.  It was one of my favorite blues ever!  Secondly, when I saw this color combo I immediately thought of a western bluebird, which is a bird that visits my area.  They are blue with a bit of the copper clay color on their breast.  

I chose to use the Seasonal Branches set and water color my bluebird.  I just love the way the colors mix together when watercoloring, especially on birds.

For the background, I took a piece of Like an Animal DSP (I'm trying to use up paper in my old stash) and brushed it with Misty Moonlight ink.  I'm loving the way this turned out!

Twisted Easel Happy Thoughts ~ HSS420

Hello Stampers!  Today's card is for Hand Stamped Sentiments inspiration challenge #420.  I chose to go with the bottom right photo of the little yellow posies and leaves.  

I used Granny Apple Green for my leaves and Daffodil Delight for the flower centers and other accents.  Aren't these just bright, happy, summery colors?  Happy is what I thought, so I chose a sentiment that had the word happy in it....it's from On the Farm.

I'm also playing along with As You See It #304.  The challenge is fill in the blank.  The thing I love about summer is____________.  

What I love about it is the summery colors.  Green grass, leaves, plants and flowers.  Yellow sunshine and beautiful blooms.

I had recently been thinking of doing some sort of fun fold on my next card, so I chose this cute easel style.  It's super simple.  Here's a video (not mine) giving all the in's and out's of making this style.  So much summer fun!

Hay! Today Is A Good Day ~ HSS419, TTTC218

Hello stampers!  Today's card is for Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge #419.

I'm also using the prompts form Tic Tac Toe #218 - Any color, free, sentiment.  That's pretty broad, but I made it work!

I've had the On The Farm set since last spring and had yet to use it.  This is the very first time it's seen any ink.  I'm currently working on cards to enter into our county fair and this one is for a fair themed entry.

Spicy Chili ~ HSS418

Hello stampers!  Today's card is for Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge for July.  What a fun, bright combo just perfect for mid summertime cards.  

I'm really having fun with the Taco Fiesta set.  The images in it are so, so cute!  I figured this color combo would be just right for the hot chilli pepper guy and will be the perfect card for my hubby's birthday that is upcoming.

Sweet Moody Mauve ~ HSS417, GDP400

Hello Stampers!  Today's card is for Hand Stamped Sentiments photo inspiration challenge.  

I chose to be inspired by the ice cream cone, but used some color from the grape picture.  

I don't own any current stamp sets with any of these items in them so I turned to a really old Sale-A-Bration set called Honeycomb Happiness.  It's a very simple design.  

I'm also participating in the Global Design Project Case the Designer Challenge.  I'm casing the lime card's layout.

Seasonal Branches Wedding ~ HSS416, SSC311

Hello Stampers!  Today's card is for Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge #416.  I also used the color combo from Sunday Stamps Challenge #311.  I used all the colors except the red.  

I needed another wedding card, (it's obviously wedding season!) and I this new set was perfect for the theme.  The "love birds" are perfect for a wedding.  The set only has one bird, but to get the mirror image, I stamped it on my silicone craft sheet and then laid the sheet on the paper.  

I watercolored all the images.
