Hooray Winter Birthday ~ CCMC541, GDP170

Hello stampers!  Today's card is for Create With Connie and Mary's newest color challenge.  Now that Christmas is over I guess it's time to move on to making other kinds of cards.  I always enjoy making Christmas cards and feel a little bit of a let down this time of year.  This color combo is nice and cheery though, and just right for a birthday card!
I used the set Broadway Birthday.  I love the Hooray image that you can add the dots to.  It's a ton of fun!
I think this theme would have looked better with another embossed background but I had this card base laying on my desk already embossed with the Cable Knit embossing folder, so I decided to not let it go to waste.  This could totally be for someone's winter birthday!
Anywho, I hope you'll be able to join us at Create with Connie and Mary for this week's challenge!
I also chose to use the sketch from Global Design Project #170 .

Here's a list of my supplies....
Stamps: Broadway Birthday
Ink: Gorgeous Grape, Blueberry Bushel, Balmy Blue
Ink: Same
Accessories: Cable Knit TIEF, Adhesive backed sequins, Decorative Ribbon Border punch, Wink of Stella
Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

  1. Soon after Christmas, Japanese people start preparing for the year-end and New Year’s events.
Compared to Christmas, many of these events are based on Japanese tradition and are deeply related to religion.
The end-of-year party is called “bonenkai” in Japanese. “Bonen” means to forget (the worries of) the past year.
People are busy with events on New Year’s Eve.
