Under the Sea Blues ~ CMCC57

Hey there!  It's Wednesday again and that means it's time for another Colour Me Challenge!  This week we go monochromatic with Night of Navy.

At first I was gonna go with a nautical theme, and pulled out my {Sea Street} set which was brand new. I was planning on using the anchor in some way.  I also knew that I wanted to try the Bokeh technique, too.  I've seen lots and lots of cards made using it and they are all so cool.  I'm in love with that blurry look.  As my bokeh in blue started to take shape I thought it resembled bubbles....hmmmm.  I decided to switch gears just a bit and go with an under the sea theme instead, so the octopus became the star of the show.  I pulled in some Baked Brown Sugar in the form of frayed burlap ribbon, which I think resembles sea grass, and a nautical knot with the linen thread.  A couple of fussy cut sea stars and a sprinkling of sequins complete my under the sea creation!

Make sure you go visit all the other Color Me gals!  They have some awesome blogs!

Here's a list of my supplies....
Stamps: Sea Street
Paper: White, Night of Navy, Maritime DSP
Ink: Night of Navy, Craft White, Versamark, Baked Brown Sugar
Accessories: White embossing powder, Burlap ribbon, In-Color sequins, Linen Thread, Circle die cut, Sponge

Thanks for taking a peek!
Jenny
