Frosty Flurry ~ CCMC371

Hello!  Well, Thursday has rolled around again and we've got another fun sketch for you over at Create with Connie and Mary!
Take a look.....
The possibilites are endless!  Make sure you hop over to the challenge site and see all the wonderful samples the design team has come up with.

I'm having such fun playing with all the new goodies from the Holiday Catalog, which is live now!  There are so many fun products in was really hard to narrow down my list when ordering!
For this card I used {Flurry of Wishes} stamp set and the coordinating Snow Flurry punch.
For the background I first ran a piece of white cardstock through my big shot with the new Softly Falling embossing folder.  Typically I would used the embossed side, but this time I flipped the paper over and sponged on the debossed side, which allows the "snow" to stay white.  I sponged with Perfect Plum and Soft Sky ink.  I love this color combination on wintery cards!
The sentiment comes from {Flurry of Wishes} as well.
Lastly, I added some rhinestones to the center of each snowflake and tied some Silver Cord around the end of the card.

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

  1. So pretty! I had done one with snowflakes, too! Love the silver, though! Great job with the sketch!

  2. Really nice card. Thanks for the time about using the debossed side of the cardstock.

  3. Really nice card. Thanks for the time about using the debossed side of the cardstock.

  4. The way you created the background makes the snow look like little drops of pearls. Gorgeous!

  5. Love the background of this beautiful card! Fabulous idea to sponge the debossed side, making the snow flakes appear almost iridescent in your photo. Total beauty!

  6. Great colors and wonderful idea to sponge the reverse side! The background is breathtaking! Love this with the snowflakes!

  7. Wow, this color scheme is wonderful on a winter snow scene!! What a great way to sponge in order to accentuate the snow falling.. love it! Beautiful!

  8. Such a beautiful snowflake card Jenny. Thanks for the tip about flipping the Softly Falling TIEF to the deboss side. Very helpful. Thanks for sharing.

  9. What a pretty winter scene! I had to look twice at your card because to me the embossed background looked like actual dots of crystal effects...and it looked like frost! Really pretty sponging! Sorry I am late with my comment. Family health issues. Better late than never!
