Good morning stampers! This unconventional Christmas card is for Merry Monday 121 & Stampin' Royalty 241. Merry Monday called for using pinecones, greens, and plaid ribbon. Stampin' Royalty is a glitter challenge.
I started by inking the trees from Lovely As A Tree at the bottom of the card in Midnight Muse ink, then I stamped the ink off once before I stamped on my white cardstock. Next, I sponged Blushing Bride down the middle of the card, came in with some Soft Sky next, then Pool Party and finally just a little bit of Marina Mist around the edges. I stamped the new Ornamental Pine evergreen image in Midnight Muse and then added the fussy cut pine cones from the same set. I stamped off one time with Midnight Muse and then sponged them with some Pool Party.
Using my glue pen, I dotted some snowflakes and then covered them with Dazzling Diamonds. I also glittered around the bottoms of the trees to mimic snow.
Lastly, I added the sentiment from Come To Bethlehem (retired) on a sponged banner-cut piece, and a little bow from some ancient pink gingham ribbon that I have had forever and ever.
The inspiration for this card came from a Vintage Christmas card that I spotted over on Pinterest. I love that site!!!!
