CCMC177 & PPC74 Rock My World

Color Coach-017
I love the colors from the Create with Connie and Mary this week, although I do have to confess that River Rock has never been one of my favorite colors.  In fact, I don't even own any cardstock in that color.  I found a some designer paper that was part of a chistmas pack from a couple of years ago that had River Rock as one of the colors.  I decided to combine the color challenge with the sketch challenge from The Paper Players.  To make the U pop, I inked it up with River Rock and then used the kissing technique by touching a stamp inked with Night of Navy directly onto the inked up U, then stamped the whole thing onto white cardstock.  This is a fun technique that I need to try a little more.  Here are the supplies I used....
Stamps: All About U, Perfect Words
Ink: Night of Navy, Lucky Limeade, River Rock
Paper: Same as above plus Navy DP, River Rock DP
Accessories: Lots of Tags die, chistmas ribbon pack, half pearls

Cuppa Joe Courtesy Colour Q

This weeks Colour Q Challenge 112 was to use Espresso, Cherry, Pumpkin, Daffodil and White.  I was trying to go for a more clean and simple style, but I seriously don't think I have the ability!  So sad.  I have had this piece of orange polka dot paper for a while now and was looking for a project to showcase it in.  I'm pretty sure that's what put this out of the clean and simple catagory......
I stamped the cup of coffee from Pun Fun on watercolor paper and used my watercolor pencils and blender pen to color it in.  I mounted the little cup on some dimentionals to give it extra interest.  I also added some glitter glue to the little hearts to punch it up a little with some pizzaz.  Here are the rest of the supplies I used.
Stamp: Pun Fun
Paper: Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Vanilla, Orange DP (from Hobby Lobby)
Ink: Dafodil, Stazon Black, Espresso
Accessories: Scallop Square die, modern label punch, word window punch, rhinestone sticker, grosgrain ribbon, watercolor pencils, blender pen

Clean and Simple Night Trendy Trees

Today is Thanksgiving Day.....happy thanksgiving everyone!  I have sooooo much to be thankful for, and one of those things is being able to have a creative outlet like cardmaking and being able to share it with others who think like I do!
This card is for the Paper Players Clean and Simple Challenge #73.  Clean and Simple is a challenge for me....to me, more is more!  I admire all those clean and simple stampers out there!  One good thing about C&S is the cards come together in no time.  To make the snow I tore some paper and ran a little bit of glue over the edge and sprinkled dazzling diamonds on!  Voila--glistening snow!  Is there anything more beautiful that sparkly snow??  I think not!  Here are the supplies I used.
Stamps: Trendy Trees
Paper: Night of Navy, White
Ink: Night of Navy, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Circle cutter, glue pen, dazzling diamonds, navy organdy ribbon, snowburst EF
