Otterly Awesome Grad ~ HSS390, JAI605

Today's card is for Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge for May.  We could use all or any three brand new In Colors.  I chose to go with Tahitian Tide, Starry Sky, and Orchid Oasis.  I added just a splash of Sweet Sorbet in the fish.
I immediately thought of water with these colors and I'm smack in the middle of graduation season, so I decided to make a cute, fun graduation card.  The Otters for Awesome Otters (retired) made a cute pair and the little graduation cap just fits on top of the otter's head.  The sentiment that comes with the set is perfect for a grad sentiment too, I think.
Inspiration also came from the photo at Just Add Ink this week. That blue water is just so beautiful!

I started by stamping the Amazing Congratulations stamp in Starry Sky and Orchid Oasis on Tahitian Tide cardstock.  I also stamped the Otters in Tahitian Tide ink on the top and bottom of the Congratulations. I sponged some Starry Sky ink over the otters with my blending brush.  I then stamped the otters a second time on scrap white cardstock in Memento ink, colored them with my Blends markers and fussy cut them out.  I also stamped the little grad cap for Round Of Applause (retired) and fussy cut it out.  The colored otters were then adhered onto the stamped otters.  I glued on the grad cap and added the otterly awesome sentiment.  A little bit of linen thead and some sequin accessories tie the whole card together.
I adhered the main panel to a dry embossed background of Orchid Oasis and mounted it all on a base of Starry Sky.

Floral Canvas ~ HSS389

Today's project comes by way of Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge.  All my inspiration came from the Happiness Abounds Bundle.  I just love the canvas painted look of the flowers and DSP.  And, this couldn't have come together easier....I just die cut the flowers from the DSP and arranged them on the card!  Easy Peasy!

Dancing Celebration Chicken ~ CCMC714

Hello Stampers!  Today's card is for Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Color Challenge #714.  This week you can choose any yellow, any blue, and white!  I went with Crushed Curry and Misty Moonlight.
I thought this fun little dancing chicken would be a good choice to go along with the cheerful DSP I picked out.  I added in a little woodgrain In Good Taste DSP in the background to make it more "on the farm-ish"
I fussy cut the cute chick and popped her up on a label die from Stitched So Sweetly dies.  I cut the sentiment apart and popped that up too.  The blue sequins are from a pack called Whale of a Time.
A bit of linen thread tied in a bow completes my card.  Nice and Simple!

Spring Flowers Jar ~ HSS388

Hello stampers!  Today's card is for Hand Stamped Sentiments May Inspiration Challenge.  Everything is spring!!! Aren't these some lovely inspiration photos?  I actually had this bouquet colored from a project that was discarded several months ago.  I thought they were a perfect match for the inspiration photos!  The flowers mimic the flowers in the upper left picture but also take in the colors from the upper right.  I also figured the jar with the Bermuda Bay colored water mimicked the vase with the tropical leaf in it!
The sentiment is from Feels Like Home, which is a retired Sale-a-bration set from a few years ago.  I just love the font on it!

Coral Bouquet Jar ~ CCMC712

Hello stampers!  Today's card is for Create With Connie and Mary's new color challenge.  These colors are very interesting together.  I wasn't sure what I was gonna do with them, but then settled on the sunflower bouquet done up in Calypso Coral with Just Jade and Pear Pizzazz for the greenery.  I added some punch greenery behind the bouquet as well.

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!
