Gold and Black Christmas Deer ~ #226

Hello stampers!  It's time for another Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge!  We have a color challenge this time selected by me!  I'm a big fan of these elegant and regal colors together.

I chose to go with the retired set {Christmas Deer}.  This deer head is a big favorite of mine and I love to pull it out to use any chance I get!  I love to do it up in sparkle as well!
For this one I stamped it with Versamark ink, embossed it with heat and stick powder and sprinkled it with gold glitter.  Isn't it just wonderful!
I love the contrast of the cracked looking Wonderland DSP.
I flanked each end of this step card with a strip of Gold Foil Vellum.
I finished it off with a gold embossed "Merry Christmas", gold brads, and gold cord.

I hope you find time to play along with this fun challenge!  Remember, Hand Stamped Sentiments is a two week challenge, so you can play multiple times if you'd like!

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

I love a shaker card and they seem to be all the rage right now with the trend of sequins. They sure make the card interactive and fun! This card is going to a "deer friend", LOL!!!!  She's a fellow card maker and will appreciate all the details.
I incorporated Colour Me Challenge 50, using the striking color combo of navy and silver, and the great sketch from over at Just Add Ink 244

Paper: Night of Navy, Silver Glimmer, White, Window sheets, All is calm DSP

I have an anouncement today that I am just giddy about!  I was selected to be on the Dynamic Duos Design Team!  My term runs for six months and I am more than excited to be a part of this fun challenge blog!  Here's a list of the other designers...be sure to check out their blogs too!

Now onto my card.  The challenge this week is to use Gumball Green and Raspberry Ripple.

I chose to go with one of my new stamps, Christmas Deer.  I inked him up in basic black, stamped him on a die cut from Apothecary Accents, and added the ornaments in Gumball and Raspberry, using my stamp-a-majig for perfect placement.  I fussy cut  the little birdie and set him on top of the antlers.  I added some snow in the form of blue chalk and topped it with some sparkles.  The ornaments have glitter also.

I ran a peice of black cardstock through my Big Shot using the new Holiday Frame EF, and used dimentionals to pop up the main image over the top of the frame.  Some scalloped edging and a Gumball Green bow pull the whole thing together.

Here's a list of my supplies....
Stamps: Christmas Deer
Paper: Raspberry Ripple, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink: Raspberry Ripple, Gumball Green, Basic Black
Accessories: Appothecary Accents die, Accents paper piercing pack, Holiday Frame EF, Gumball Green stitched satin ribbon, Scalloped border punch, Dazzling Diamonds, Chalk

Thanks for taking a peek at my very first post as a DD Design Team member!  Have a fabulous day!
