Chalkboard Go Wild! ~ CCMC377

Hey!  It's Thursday and that means another great Create with Connie and Mary Challenge is underway!  This is sketch week, and boy is this one good!

I was super stumped by this sketch at first, but after thinking about it for a bit I had too many ideas and couldn't decided which one to use!  Haha!!!!

I began with the idea of using the chalkboard technique and decided to use the Go Wild DSP pack, Black Glimmer paper and {Zoo Babies} to make a cute, neutral baby card.  I love all the little animals in this stamp set.  I chose to use the neglected rhino and monkey.....the little monkey looks like he's announcing the baby, doesn't he?!?

I paper pierced around the edges of the black panel to add a little more interest.

Sweet Zoo Babies ~ CCMC351 & SSC99

Hello!  Today is Create With Connie and Mary's Thursday Challenge and it's sketch week.  We have a very unique one for you this week.  I hope you'll find some time to play along!

This sketch was not only challenging for me, but very fun!  I enjoyed getting my creative juices flowing and pushing myself!  

I also used the color combination from Sunday Stamps 99.  

I used the Irrisistably Yours DSP for my side panel and tried to mimic the textures from each animal....stripes for the zebra, dots for the giraffe, and scales for the alligator.  Fun!

EXCITING NEWS! CMCC#53

I would like to announce that I am officially part of the Colour Me design team!  I am super excited to be part of this wonderful group and to gain much inspiration from my fellow designers!   

We're kicking the year off with the monochromatic color scheme of Perfect Plum.  

I chose to go with a baby theme and add black in as my neutral.  

This card also highlights a few new products from the new Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration.  

The heart border and bow on the giraffe's neck are from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits die set. This die set has lots and lots of cute extras to go along with the treat bag itself.  The Stacked With Love designer washi tape is so cute and comes in these two patterns plus one more with gold hearts....very versatile! The other new item from the Occasions Catalog is the little heart button.  It's part of the Sweet Dreams Designer Buttons.  

The polka dot paper is from the Sale-a-bration catalog and it's called Irresistibly Yours.  It comes plain white with a resist pattern and you add the color with a sponge, mister or brayer.  I brayered on the the ink for this card.  It comes in several different patterns and will be super fun to work with!  I know this will be a popular product! 

I used my blender pen and Perfect Plum ink pad to create the variegated color in the "Big News" lettering on the main panel of my card.  I like the way it turned out.  It gives it just a little bit more interest.
