Eastern Beauty Flower ~ HSS265, Inkspire302

Hello!  Hand Stamped Sentiments has kicked off another two week challenge....this time a sketch.  It's so lovely and simple.  I needed a bit more inspiration so I chose to use the colors from Inkspire Me Challenge 302.

I just love the "spray" looking stamp from the Eastern Beauty stamp set and I chose to use it like leaves to a flower.  I also love that the dies are so versatile in this bundle.  There are tons of combinations to use, but I like the one that looks like a flower.  I especially love that the middle of the petals can pop up giving extra character.

I hope you'll join us over at Hand Stamped Sentiments over the next two weeks to participate in our challenge!
Thanks for taking a peek!

Feather Together ~ CCMC459

Create with Connie and Mary has a cool sketch challenge for you this week!  Here's my take on the sketch.
I used Feather Together (which made the cut into the new catalog) and Eastern Palace suite die and stamp set.

Daisy Wildflowers and Copper ~ CCMC458

Hello stampers!  We've got a new color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary this week!
I've finally gotten my goodies from the new catalog preorder and these fun little wild flowers are from the set called {Daisy Delight}.  I like the simplicity and delicateness of them.
I stamped them directly onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and filled in the top with a strip of vellum with the Thank You words from the same set.  I embossed those with Copper EP.  To keep with the copper theme, I backed my wildflower panel with some Copper Foil paper.  The whole thing is perched on a background of Watermelon Wonder DSP.  The words on the DSP are white, so I ran a sponge with So Saffron ink ever so lightly over them to make them more vanilla.

To tie in the Night of Navy I added a Pretty Petals embossed strip.  Lastly, I tucked a little bit of the vanilla side of a lace doily.

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Graduation Party! ~ HSS264, AYSI149

Hello there stampers and welcome to another Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge!  We've got a yummy color trio to inspire you this time!  They seem so summery, don't they?
I'm smack in the middle of graduation card making, so that's where my mind went.  I also used the sketch challenge from As You See It to help me along.  I figured these colors lent themselves well for party balloons and what's graduation without balloons?  Boring, I say!

We hope you'll join us for our two week color challenge!
Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Congrats Grad ~ CCMC457

Hello stampers!  Create with Connie and Mary is back with a sketch challenge this week!
Graduation season is upon us and we are getting ready to celebrate my son's high school grad in just about 10 days!  I am in full on grad card mode.  I know that some of these stamps are retired, but I feel like there isn't really a good graduation set in the current catalog....and really, how many graduation stamp sets does one need.  I combined a few sets to make this card:  Pure Gumption, Bravo, Gorgeous Grunge, Timeless Textures, and Thoughtful Banners.
With the masculine looking DSP I thought I would keep the card masculine.

I embossed the words and grad cap on stitched circles and then stamped over them with various texture stamps.  I feel like these are pretty masculine as well.

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!  We home to see you playing along with our challenge!

White Watercolor ~ CCMC456c

Hello stampers!  It's Create with Connie and Mary time again and it's color week!  Isn't this an interesting trio?
I have always admired the white coloring on Crumb Cake technique and I thought it might be fun to try it out to see how it would work on Tip Top Taupe.  I'm so pleased with the way it came out!  In fact this was exactly what I had pictured in my head!
I stamped two Birthday Blooms images in Early Espresso ink and then took a blender pen, dipped it in a little craft white ink and colored in the entire flower and leaf image.  After it dried I went back over it with another blender pen and Mint Macaron and Old Olive ink.  I love, love, love the way it came out!  I layered it on a piece of Old Olive cardstock, then some Mint Macaron DSP from an older Christmas pack and the whole thing was mounted to a Mint Macaron base.

I finished it off with some linen thread tied around the side and popped up the Dear Friend stitched oval in the center.

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Fresh Jar of Love ~ HSS263, SS441

Hello stampers and welcome to my blog featuring the newest challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments!  We have a picture inspiration for you to play along with this time and oh, isn't it refreshing and cool looking!  It makes me want summer to get here quick!
I was inspired by the colors in the photos and used my new set {Jar of Love}.  I know, I know, I'm really late to the party with this set!  I noticed it was not retiring so I figured I should finally own it, along with the matching framelits.  It was so fun to play with and I had a great time creating this card.
I usually like to find a sketch or another source of inspiration when creating, so I used Sketch Saturday's challenge #441 which was a sketch archive challenge.  You can browse through any of their archived sketches and pick the one that suits you!  I chose a sketch from October 2014 #330.

This card also features two important colors.  One brand new in-color and one out going in-color.
The outgoing is Watermelon Wonder, which I used to stamp the dark accent on the large flower.  I'll miss this color as it works as the perfect dark accent to Flirty Flamingo.  The second is the brand new Lemon Lime Twist.  I wasn't sure about this color when I first saw it but oh my, is it ever fun!  It's nice and bright and fresh!
I've used a strip of Lemon Lime Twist DSP from the new Eastern Palace specialty paper pack.  It pairs perfectly with these bright, summery colors of Flirty Flamingo and Tempting Turquoise.

I hope you'll play along with us at Hand Stamped Sentiments and remember, this challenge runs for two weeks!
