Pastel Rooster ~ HSS313, GDP186

Hello there stampers!  Today's card is for Hand Stamped Sentiments new inspiration challenge for April.  I chose the top picture and was inspired by the colors and the chickens.  I also used the sketch from Global Design Project this week to help me out.
I think the rooster from Home to Roost looks pretty nice in pastels!

I also went with a distressed look by stamping the Crumb Cake background with the Handwritten background stamp after I had stamped of the Crumb Cake ink once.  I used my bone folder and ran it up and down the paper to break down the fibers and then I crumpled it up before straightening it out again.  I distressed the edges by taking my fingernail and running it up and down and then curled up the edges a little.
I punched three little flowers with the Bitty Blooms punch pack and crumpled them up a bit too.
The Ticket Border punch that I ran along the bottom of the main panel is distressed some as well.

Here's a list of my supplies....
Stamps: Home to Roost, Handwritten, Thoughtful Banners (sentiment)
Ink: memento black, balmy blue, flirty flamingo, daffodil delight, bronze blends markers, as well as all of these colors in inks for the sponging
Paper: White, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Stitched Shapes framelits, bitty blooms punch pack, ticket border punch, linen thread

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Needlepoint in Blue ~ CCMC557, JUGS483, TGIFC207

Hey there stampers!  My card today is for for Create with Connie and Mary's new color challenge featuring Pineapple Punch, Blueberry Bushel, and Granny Apple Green.  What happy colors, right?!!
I also used Off The Edge trend challenge at Just Us Girls #483, and the sketch from TGIF Challenges #207

My card features the fun stamp set Needle and Thread.  I just love the images in this set and along with the coordinating framelits gives you tons of options.  I think the flowers look great in blue.  I achieved the different hues of blue by stamping the smaller flowers off once.
This set also looks great with the Gingham Gala DSP.  I'm such a sucker for anything gingham or checked!

Here's a list of my supplies....
Stamps: Needle and Thread
Ink: Pineapple Punch, Blueberry Bushel, Granny Apple Green
Paper: Granny Apple Green, Blueberry Bushel, White, Gingham Gala DSP
Accessories: Needlepoint Elements framelits, Pretty Label punch, Decorative Lace border punch

Navy Very Vintage ~ CCMC556, PP436

Hello stampers!  Today's card is for our newest challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary.  This week is sketch week.  I also used a little inspiration from The Paper Players 436 Plaid or Checks.  I didn't see until right now as I type this out that the plaid was supposed to be the focus of your project.  Mine's just a little accent, but I like it anyway!  I was set on using my Very Vintage set to make a vintage style card this week.
It's hard to see in the photo, but I sponged the Sahara Sand background piece with Crumb Cake ink after I embossed it with the Tin Tile TIEF.  I also rubbed a little bit of my Champagne Shimmer paint over it as well for extra shimmer.  After I stamped the main panel, I spritzed it with Champagne Shimmer spritz.

Here's a list of my supplies.....
Stamps: Very Vintage
Ink: Crumb Cake, Night of Navy
Paper: Night of Navy, Sahara Sand
Accessories: 1" circle punch, Navy Gingham ribbon, Tin Tile TEIF, pearls, Champagne Shimmer paint

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!
