For You Tulips ~ HSS281

Hello Stampers!
Today's card features the newest color challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments.  Purple and red!  Very Valentine-ish I guess!
I like the look of a red tulip, so that's the direction I went in.  I stamped the back part of the tulip in Real Red and the foreground part in Cherry Cobbler.  I stamped stamped the Cherry Cobbler part again on a separate piece of scrap and fussy cut them out and then popped them up.
I added the little coneflowers in Perfect Plum.
I thought this would be nice if I made it vintage, so I pulled out an old stamp set called French Foliage.  I stamped a few of the images around the edges with Crumb Cake ink and then sponged and distressed the edges.

For the ribbon I took a length of Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon, spritzed it with water, crinkled it up in my hand and then dried it with my heat tool.  I tied it around the bottom in a bow.  I like the way this adds to the vintage feel.  The main panel is layered on some Perfect Plum cardstock and backed by a Cherry Cobbler base that has been embossed with the quilt top EF.
Come play along with us at HSS!

Thanks for taking a peek!

No Stamping Lovely ~ CCMC484

Hello stampers!  I'm coming to you again with a new sketch challenge from Create with Connie and Mary!
My card this week has absolutely NO STAMPING!  It actually came together pretty quick, except for the fussy cutting. :)
I bought the Whole Lot of Lovely DSP pack for these two patterns!  I love this big, bold dot and the watercolored looking peachy flowers with blue sprigs here and there.  I think these colors are so complimentary.  I haven't really had the chance or the right project to use these papers....until now.
I thought these pretty blossoms would make the perfect match to the dots in the sketch.
I added a loop of mini black sequin trim to each flower to add an extra bit of interest, as well as a bigger black sequin and rhinestone to each flower center.

Join us by sharing your card on the Create with Connie and Mary Facebook page!
Here's a list of my supplies....
Stamps: none
Paper: Whole Lot Of Lovely, Pool Party, Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink: none
Accessories: Lovely Words thinlits, mine sequin trim, metallic sequins, rhinestones, Calypso Coral ribbon

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!

Gorgeous Happy Birthday ~ CCMC492, SIP133

Hi stampers!  Today's card is a product of the newest Create with Connie and Mary Challenge #492.  This is a really nice color combo.  All I could think of was flowers when I looked at these colors, so that's where I went.  I used Stamp Ink Paper Sketch Challenge #133 to help me out too.

I stamped the flowers from Happy Birthday Gorgeous with Memento Black ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and then colored them in with my Calypso Coral, Old Olive and the Light Night of Navy Stampin' Blends.  I like the look achieved when using the Blends on Crumb Cake cardstock.  The colors are a bit more subtle.
The DSP is from Merry Little Christmas.  I'm trying to use up my stack and not be such a hoarder.  I'm glad the patterns aren't necessarily just for Christmas.  This one in particular feels springy to me!

Supplies.....
Stamps: Happy Birthday Gorgeous
Ink: Memento Black, Calypso Coral, Old Olive, and Night of Navy Stampin' Blends markers
Paper: Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, Calypso Coral, Merry Little Christmas DSP
Accessories: Layering Circles Framelits, Calypso Coral ribbon, Decorative Ribbon border punch, pearls

Lots of (Yellow) Lavender ~ CCMC492

Hello Stampers!  Another week has passed and it's time for a Create with Connie and Mary Sketch Challenge!  As you can see I flipped the sketch on it's side.
I went with a new set from the Sale-a-bration catalog called Lots of Lavender.  I stamped the bouquet in Memento ink and colored it with Stampin' Blends markers.  I know the flowers are supposed to be lavender, but purple isn't my favorite color to work with.  I think the Daffodil Delight Blends markers are such a nice color, so I went with that.  I love it paired with a red ribbon.  I also thought the black and white sided paper from Merry Little Christmas DSP would compliment the stamp nicely.

I hope you all can play along with us!  Just upload your card to the Create with Connie and Mary Facebook page!

Beautiful Peacock Friend ~ CCMC491, TGIFC140

Hello stampers and welcome to another color challenge for the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge site!  Isn't this a wonderfully rich combination?  At first I was not a fan of these colors but as I started to brainstorm about them I decided that they might fit nicely with the new Beautiful Peacock set from the Sale-A-Bration catalog!  I think I was right!  I started out by inking the bottom half of the tail feathers in Peekaboo Peach and then the top half in Berry Burst.  I took a sponge dauber, dipped it in the Berry Burst ink and then blended the colors together on the stamp.  I gave it a good huff before I stamped it on my cardstock.  I did the same thing with the swirly tail feathers.  I stamped the body in Bermuda Bay.
I CASE'd designer Tami Hewlett's card from TGIF Challenges 140 to help me with my card.  I turned my card vertical but kept the same sketch.

For the background I used some Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate.  I tied in the gold by added three little gold faceted gems.
I actually love the way this card came out!  I really thought I would struggle with these colors, but this came together fairly quick!
I hope you'll find time to play along with us!  Just add your card to the CCMC Facebook page!

Paper: Berry Burst, Bermuda Bay, Peekaboo Peach, White, Fabulous Foil Designer acetate
