Hello! It's another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! This week's color combo is really cool! The only problem with my card is I used Daffodil Delight instead of So Saffron. For some reason I had it in my head that the lightest color was Daffodil Delight.....maybe I got mixed up on the word delightful.....Delightful Dijon. I don't know. Anyway, one of my shades of yellow is just a bit off.
I also used the sketch from The Challenge #41.
I thought it would be fun to create a fallish night scene with these colors and the new Sleigh Ride Egdelits dies and {Jingle All the Way}. I love the playful dog image that looks like it's frolicking along the hills! The Woodland EF provides and extra fall feel for the background.
Make sure you hop on over the CCMC and check out all the other fabulous creations by the others on the DT!
Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!
Jenny
What a fun card using the Sleigh Ride Edgelits! Love the non-Christmas look with the running dog! Too cute! Great job with the color challenge, even with the Daffodil Delight! lol!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure what to do with the edgeless, but I am seeing so many fun things! Your card is one of them...love the two yellow colors layered on top of each other.
ReplyDeleteToo funny, I grabbed Daffodil Delight too! I sat there and thought "wait a minute..." Then I double checked. Kind of wish I would have went with it like you did. The bright yellow paired with the more muted Delightful Dijon looks great!
ReplyDeleteYou created a new color combination that looks great together! Your starry background is beautiful and that dog image is my favorite in the set. Beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteJenny, the scene you created is beautiful! Your little dog is perfect! So happy you joined us at The Challenge this week! XX

ReplyDeleteMuch as I love these edgelits, I've been wondering what to do with the dog - now I know! Love the way you used the 3 colours for your layers and your sky looks so atmospheric!

ReplyDeleteJenny, I love how you used these colors to add such visual depth to your card! What a great use of these framelits as well... Love love your starry sky with the slice of moon.. Gorgeous card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to use those edgelits in these colors - it is unexpected, but it works beautifully going light to dark! Love this!
