Hello everyone and welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary color challenge!
I chose to go masculine with our colors this week so I've also joined up with the Paper Players 298, which is a Father's Day challenge.
I water-colored practically everything on this card, except the embossed background!
I inked the bird in black Stazon on watercolor paper and used my aquapainter to apply the color. I used Crumb Cake on the body and darkened it a bit with some Soft Suede.
I also sponged some Soft Suede ink over the Crumb Cake Boho Chic embossed layer. I love the dimension this gives.
For the Bermuda Bay panel, I stamped the leaf image onto watercolor cardstock with the archival black ink. I thought this image looked kinda like a feather. Then I spritzed it down and ran my brayer loaded with Bermuda ink over it. I then took my aquapainter and dropped little drops of water all over the whole panel. I let it dry and like the effect it gave. I sponged the edges with Soft Suede ink as well. I used the same process to make the little yellow strip of paper.
Here's a list of my supplies.....
Stamps: The Wilderness Awaits, Thoughtful Banners, Botanical Blooms
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Stazon and Archival black
paper: Watercolor, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Linen Thread, Dimensionals, Boho Chic EF
I hope you find time to play along with us for this week's color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary!
Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!
