Hey stampers! It's Create with Connie and Mary Thursday and we've got a super fun color challenge for you this week!
Aren't these colors gorgeous together?
This was a chance for me to play with my new goodies from the Holiday Catalog again. I brayered Pool Party ink directly onto the Woodland embossing folder and ran it through my big shot. Next, I stamped the little bird from {Sprinkles of Life} in Watermelon Wonder ink and stamped it on Watermelon Wonder cardstock. I punched it out with the coordinating Tree Builder punch and adhered the bird to a branch using a mini glue dot.
Next, I added a strip of Black Glimmer paper, which is also new in the Holiday Catalog, and some black bakers twine. I topped it off with a partial Word Window punch with the sentiment "Peace" from {Happy Scenes}. A pearl completes the nice little scene.
This card was so fast to complete.....It could be a contender for my Christmas card this year!
Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!
Jenny
oooh - I can't wait to get my Black Glimmer Paper! I love your card...it is so full of texture and cute little elements....like the bird!! :) Beautiful work. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so soothing and peaceful! It's so inviting! Love it!!
ReplyDeleteLove the glimmer paper with the background! Of course that little bird is my favorite - it adds such a nice pop of color.
ReplyDeleteThat embossing folder is perfect with this technique to make a lovely wintry scene! Love all the texture and the details; the redbird just makes the whole card pop! Love!
ReplyDeleteSuper pretty! I do not like winter in real life....but I LOVE it on paper! Love how you have just the tiny touches of Watermelon in there...it is a bold color!
ReplyDeleteLove the great winter scene you've created! Braying the embossing folder is genius and I can pretty much guarantee that I'm going to give that a whirl today! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh so pretty Jenny! Those trees are beautiful and the little red bird is super cute, however it's the black glimmer paper that steals the show - very glamorous!
