You're My Anchor ~ CMCC75

Hello, or should I say Ahoy!  LOL!  It's Wednesday and time for another new Colour Me challenge.  This weeks colors are Night of Navy and Real Red.

I just couldn't resist going nautical.  I wanted to incorporate the old wood look, so I stamped my hardwood stamp with Crumb Cake ink onto Crumb Cake cardstock and then cut each plank out individually.  I distressed the ends of each plank and sponged them.  After I adhered them out on a scrap piece of paper, I ran it through my big shot using a square framelit to cut out a center window.
Them I used some sandpaper and sanded the planks to make them look even more distressed.

I kept everything else fairly simple as far as the stamping goes.  The type in the background is from an old set called {Daring Adventure}.  The anchor is from {The Open Sea}.  I wish I had a sentiment to go with it, like the one from a new set called {Guy Greetings}....I may just need to purchase that set!
I made this a shaker card to give it a little something extra.  I put clear seed beads in the shaker...they are sorta hard to see in the photo.
Lastly, I added some red bakers twine for a small accent.

Make sure you hop over and check out the creations made by my fellow Colour Me designers!  They are fab!!!!

Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!!!!
Jenny
