Hello! Create with Connie and Mary Thursday is here once again! This week we've got an incredible sketch for you!
I have to confess that I struggled with this one. This was the second card I made for this challenge. I'm still not thrilled with it and had one more idea, but ran out of time to get it created.
Oh well....any handmade card is a good card, right?
My card ended up in sort of a loose interpretation of the sketch. It's similar though! I'm usually one who likes to follow the sketch pretty closely, but I do like the times when I can think a little outside the box and be somewhat creative with the sketch challenges.
For the watercolor look of my card I inked up the stamps and spritzed them with water before I stamped them on the watercolor paper. I also ran my aquapainter over the image after it was stamped to make it a little more watercolor-ish!
I hope to see your creations in our gallery this week!
Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!
Jenny
I love the watercolored look that you achieved here - it's so soft and pretty! The twine is a sweet touch, too!
ReplyDeleteDon't be so hard on yourself Jenny - your spritzed watercolouring is so pretty! What a great take on this week's sketch!
ReplyDeleteI think your card is great! I think we are our own worst critics! I find that when I create something I'm not completely happy with that those are the cards that are my customer's favorites and get the most comments! Go figure! I love the watercolor effect you have done. I especially love the little apple and bird!
ReplyDeleteI like your card - we all struggle with different sketches. Glad I'm not the only one! I like the watercolor effect in the clouds and the grass. It's very serene! Great card!
ReplyDeleteI love the little scene - it's like a scene captured by a window frame! Great card! :-)
ReplyDeleteSweeet card! I love the look you achieved, a wonderful soft and airy scene.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite this week! I'm a sucker for anything trees, nature, and you created the scene perfectly with the sketch! Way to think outside the box!
ReplyDeleteSuch a classic set and love done with the watercolor paper! Such a sweet scene! Great job with the sketch this week!
