Hello stampers! It's time for another fun color challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments. This one was chosen by your truly.
I also used the Fab Friday #99 sketch to help me complete my card.
Don't you just love a blue poinsettia? I think they are so pretty and a little bit of a diversion from the regular Christmas colors.
I actually had the Pretty Paisley's embossed vanilla piece laying on my desk that was discarded from a previous project. I thought it would make a nice frame for the Merry Christmas sentiment. I added some gold accents in there to make the card a little more festive and elegant.
The one thing I'm not too keen on is the splattering...which is very hard to see in the pictures. I tried using my Wink Of Stella gold pen to add a few spritz to the background. In hindsight I wish I had left it plain. Oh well!
I also added a bit of clear Wink Of Stella to the flower petals. It adds so much nice glimmer!
I hope you'll find time to play along with us! Remember, HSS is always a two week challenge!
Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day!
Jenny
Beautiful! I love the non-traditional blue for the poinsettia! Very eye catching with the gold accents as well! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! You know, I actually saw blue poinsettias last year at the store - so striking! Mad science at its greatest, lol. This is a beautiful card, and love the embossed oval around the sentiment - perfect! Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, how pretty!! The flower is beautiful in blue and I love the touches of gold. Thanks for joining us at Fab Friday, hope to see you again soon!
ReplyDeleteThi is so lovely, Jenny! I love the softness of the colors and the simply elegant design. I often spatter and wish I hadn't later, but I think it's so pretty and adds just the right touch with the gold.
